Mamenchisaurus revision

Mamenchi in the film was pretty much a bootleg Barosaurus. And it's been depicted with a Brachiosaur-like stance for years.

The only major thing wrong is that it's still missing the club at the end of its tail.

TLW Mamenchi has always been tricky, because it wasn't intended to be the large sauropod in that scene (Apatosaurus), it seems as if it was a last minute decision to stretch out and repurpose the JP Brachi model and make a nondescript massive sauropod out of it.

I think that anyone requesting that film design should perhaps be requesting for another massive sauropod, Barosaurus, and role-play it as TLW Mamenchi. And for what it's worth, I'm not a big fan of JWE Mamenchi's design either. It needs a new rig, imo, but I'd take that over what the film version presents its appearance as.

Here's Barosaurus. (credit cisiopurple on Deviantart):

"Mamenchisaurus" in TLW was largely based on "Seismosaurus" (which is currently a junior synonym for Diplodocus), and the only reason why we call that individual Mamechisaurus was because of merchandise goofing up. Similar case for (pro)compsognathus
