Manual Reload

It's 3306, almost 3307 why on earth is there no manual reload. It sure feels nice to fly in my vulture on the last shot of my clip knowing I'll have to reload after one shot. Even if you had to eat a longer reload time, I'm only hurting to use it between engagements so I wouldn't even care.

So if you have a single shot left fire it off when you are aware of that fact and let it reload immediately rather than waiting until you are in the thick of battle again.

Agreed. The current chooses of either wasting lots of ammo to reload pre-fight or accept regularly going into fights with nearly empty clips is garbage.

But really, it's absolutely non-sensical for craft weaponry to be using clips in the first place. I'd be happy with them just being removed. ED could use snappier fights anyhow.

thats the reason I use Autoloader in my multicannon builds
There are a few reasons I don't like this "solution"
1. Wastes my experimental
2. It's inefficient, since you have to wait for the delay + reload time rather than just the reload time
3. There's really no reason for manual reload to not be in the game.

I swear to god if the gun FPS in Odyssey has manual reload but not my FDL I'm gonna have an aneurysm.

If you're not using corrosive or incendiary the best experimental for any weapon that can equip it is autoloader. Except frags, use screening shell.

That's not how autoloader works though. If your magazine isn't full it constantly adds ammunition, even when firing, but as soon as the magazine hits zero it fully reloads just like a normal weapon.

I agree, if you fully retract your hardpoints for the weapon's reload time it should reload.

How far are you from the nearest hospital? Might want to look into that...

You are wrong, the clip is reloading all the time, even when firing, so a clip last longer, although continuos fire spends ammo faster than the reload. If because of that the clip reachs 0 bullets left, you get a standard reload. This experimental allows sustained punishment. I am sure a lot of times with your, for example, 6 multicannons anaconda, a lot of times only 3-4 of the multis are firing at the same time because the other ones are reloading. With autoloader you don´t have that problem. try it by yourself

First of all, I don't use MCs. Second, I'm not insane enough to do combat in an anaconda. Third, Even if people want the functionality provided by auto loader, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to manually reload the cannons. It just boggles the mind that in all the space sims I've ever played, only E: D doesn't let you choose to manually reload your canons between engagements. It just seems like a basic function that the game should have but doesn't for some reason. You can zoom the radar, but you can't zoom what's in front of you so you can more easily hit that target 4k away. Not that zooming the radar isn't useful, just that some things that feel like they should be there because literally every other space sim has it, isn't there.

What, does the CMDR have broken knees and the reload button is 50m away from the cockpit?
