Manufacturing Instructions

Hi commanders,

I have recently started on-foot content. After more than a dozen ground missions (assassination, massacre, shut down the power) at some anarchy settlements, I have already more than enough suit/weapon schematics and other mats to upgrade my gear.

But how to get these manufacturing Instructions?
I must have found 2 at all the settlements I "visited". From threat 1-3, industrial, research, military, hydroponic...
I checked all missions available, filtering on "materials", but nada...
Do missions eventually reward some? Any specific system state(s) for a greater chance to find some?

I do know that the Impact Sites and Irregular Markers may contain one (or/and other useless stuff), and that a relog to desktop can help (unless it spawns useless stuff), but isn't there a better way less mind dumbing than that?

But how to get these manufacturing Instructions?
Missions boards (rare) or NPC mission givers (very rare), to get decent amount at once.
After last "buff" for material rewards, couple patches ago, due of sheer amount of other materials in the pool to spawn as reward, it became quite quite rare to see, like only single or maybe two missions, out of every few boards refresh. It really depends on luck, than anything else.

Last time, it took for Me, about 1,5 hour, flying back and forth, between systems where I am allied with all fractions, to get find only one mission wich yielded it.

Alternatively, its not as rare to found at data ports, all of them wich isnt is HAB type can be found at, and those impact surface POI's, with crashed satelites, beacons or skimmers - anything with data ports, can be also found at these - but relog does not work anymore at those, sadly. If reloged, data ports remain empty, so its every POI is single time only.

Wich is bit sad, as basically every meaningfull upgrades for gear, requies MI's.

But in nutshell, mission boards is best way to look for these.

I do know that the Impact Sites
Look for missions to extract Memory chip from Crash site, those usually leads to "bigger" satellites (beacons?). In those dataports MI are more common to spawn.
As mission reward (10-15) I've got only 3 or 4 times over literally hundreds of such missions, by other words: rather rare.

As others have said above, you can get them in bulk as mission rewards. That's where I got mine from when I upgraded all my onfoot stuff.

Relog works, I confirmed yesterday, but you need to quit the game, then relaunch it.
Something to do with creating a new session with the FDev servers, I believe.

However, the type of dataay change after relog. You may find again one MI, or not

This applies to brain trees as well, BTW.

How many do you need? I normally only sell them to my own people but I'm sitting on about 40 of them right now so I can afford to let some go.
Eh eh, well, a lot?
I would like ideally to have a Dom and Mav suits G5, as well as Aphelion, AR50, 2x rocket launcher, etc...

No worry, I'm not in a rush. With not engineered G3 gear, I was already able to clear a medium ground CZ solo without dying, and believe going G5 might make it too easy anyway.

I do have 10 billions in the bank, but would rather achieve it myself.
I will keep looking for missions and the occasional POIs that spawn some.

ah right, the full exit relog still works? With SRV of course.

Its more than 2 years, since last time tried it, and was meaning the menu log.

Yup. This is biggest probem with relog, that doing for about 1 hour, would not yield more than 10-15 MI's (but plus side is that it also gives bunch of other data)
Missions used to give MI as rewards much often than right now, so it was better go and stack 3 or 4 missions, each rewared by 10 MI, within same time spend.

No need for SRV (eh, that reminds me that I still have not given a try to the Scorpion that has been sitting in my hangar..)
Tried that yesterday while in my ship, and on-foot (behind my ship's shield).

Yes! I just found a "retrieve something" mission (not familiar with this kind) rewarding 14 MI's. I was planning to head to the CG (should be busy/fun on a Saturday) but may first go grab them, hopefully fast. :)

3 missions later...looks like I got lucky :)
