Many Guests are Thirsty... AGAIN!

Hey xShadowx...yes, I have seen this in US parks...specifically the Six Flags parks. In many cases its not a full shop front, but vending machines (as some others have mentioned), or I have even seen vendors with a tray or bags selling stuff on hot days in the queue (like a vendor at a ballgame)...and they sell out really fast when they are there. A constant stream of vendors coming in with new stuff. So, the idea of guests getting thirsty while in line is not that far from the truth (not that I fully believe this was programmed in the game specifically). As some others have mentioned as well...drinking fountains could also be a big plus and easy to fit in a queue without much redesign to accommodate them. This is very common in parks I have been through.

Right WowMan.. Like I said.. I can see them existing just never seen it myself. My experience in theme parks have been mostly mid eastern places.. Kings Island.. KY Kingdom (when it was six flags and before) smaller family parks like Camden park. .. and I agree its not far from the truth.. Some lines for rides can be 2-3 hrs long wait.. you are going to get thirsty . But having to add a vendor in the middle of my que lines isn't something I want to do and that kind of micromanagement and having to make spot for it in a complex que line like I typically have to work in.. Nope. I don't want that.

Again. I ask the question.. why do they just get thirsty.. I rarely ever see hungry unless I haven't added a food stall yet at all.. its only the thirsty that i see so constantly.

We have consistently asked for an explanation or fix for a year now and have not been given an answer. This is where I say the devs don't listen.. and they don't talk to us. These kind of things. Someone said in a different thread that what they typically give us, and tell us "see we listen" is things that are easily marketable to the masses. I really want a deeper explanation to the guest thoughts and behavior than what we are given. It will help a lot in so many things if they just chime in and tell us something.. I know one dev is giving great feedback about audio... and its a great read on his responses.. why can't we have that for other things. I'm pretty much begging you Frontier..answer our questions. Stop being so secretive, you are losing public trust by not being transparent with things.

Bought the game yesterday, got to say the guests always being thirsty is very annoying to the point I didn't want to play. I'm really hoping on a bug fix when we get this new patch. I was hoping would take their complaints seriously.. but I guess they don't really care too much sadly.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the basis it's been around pretty much since launch with no comment or improvements.

This is one of the base game bugs which needs serious attention I am hoping the anniversary will have this ready for us to download.

My worry is if they can't fix this what can they fix?

Maybe (just thinking) it is about the kind of drink they need. In a tropical envoronment the peeps might not fancy Street Fox Coffee but milkshakes. Maybe we can see some settings for that in the scenario editor. Just an idea.[big grin]

Many parks, both the Cedar Fair ones and the Six Flags ones, have vending machines in lines. They'll sell water, soda, or ice cream. Granted a water could easily be five dollars. [big grin]

All those sugary drinks and stuff do make you more thirsty, so this actually isn't a problem!

Yes you are right, however they need to refine the balance in the game and have more vending machines (like ATM) to help the thirst level. Also they need the guests to have more AI and realise if that guest goes to enter a queue it realises that to get a drink first before entering, this will probably mean adjusting the % to allow for queue time, another AI would be the guest to register the queue length in meters, just like I would do in real life.

Also Street Fox coffee in particular guests are not that interested in well in real life one of the biggest beverages out there is 'coffee' so not sure why Frontier did their lack of popularity for this type of drink?

Simple: Gulpee is way more awesome than Street Fox Coffee. :gulpee::green: :rex::face:
But that is just my opinion. :)

Based on what age group teen boppers! Being an adult of nearly 5 decades I would prefer a coffee and as we live longer one would think there are more older people than younger.

My base ball cap, shell suit and break dancing lino mat are in the garage maybe I need to get them out of storage :)
