Mark unused new bindings.

It a basic idea. With all the new controls. Leave them Marked until they are assigned.

I am afraid of all these changes, i know all my key's now and tomorow when i download the new game i will have to change alot. Damn.

The problem I had was I was working on the Binding when the server crashed. So I have some Mapped while others are not set up yet.

I'll second this. Just make it where the little "unbound" marker shows up for any function or category containing such function that is not bound to a key.

I had a related idea, but didn't want to create a new thread, so I'll post it here:

Would it be possible to add an option to revert an entire category in the key bindings to its defaults, without reverting everything? Maybe also initialize them with the defaults, if those keys aren't already bound?

This way, when a new patch comes out that contains several whole new sets of functions, the user doesn't need to guess what to assign to what key without first having tried playing the game with those functions.

Oh, yes, PLEASE, FD, PLEASE!

An option to implement keyboard defaults in a blank category would at least give me a starting point. I am so fricking lost in the weeds on this right now it's not funny. Hell, I still haven't fully configured the camera and holo-me settings from past chapters.

Also having more than one CUSTOM bind would make life less complicated.

Quoting myself here, something else that would be super helpful is some measure to prevent the game from automatically reverting everything back to defaults on its own if it can't find the same set of joysticks you had connected. Maybe make it ask first when you first start the game, with a little dialog box. "Hey, we've noticed your joysticks aren't connected. Would you like to load the default control set, or exit and plug them in?"

Basically, from time to time, the game will just forget all my button and axis bindings, and I sometimes won't realize this until I've undocked, meaning I have less than five minutes to rebind enough of them to fly the ship out of the hangar before the station starts shooting.
