I've been writing in-character stories about my character Marra on the fantastic INARA website.
I've made a summary of my work so far, in chronological order; I'll add to it as I go and bump it up when there's a new one.

Please be aware that there's some fairly adult themes, including drug use, naughty words, sex and violence.

I hope you enjoy them! Please feel free to give me constructive feedback either in this thread or by PM.

Brilliant, you clearly have a talent for writing - only 2 issues:

"Easily Amused" links to Sayonara (just a copy and paste issue I'd guess).

And avoid too many I this and I that (happens occasionally). So, just for example, if you've just said I fire up Freyja's engines then switch the next...

But, read them all (well apart from Easily Amused) and enjoyed them all. That personal pronoun thing is the only real issue (FWIW I've used "I this ... I that" too much as well, probably why it jumped out).

OK 3 issues given "Bindles and Shivs" I have a Python - guess that's really my issue though :(

I should have dropped the first just or changed the second one to recently! It sounds so much better. Same for those I's.

Or rather, that's something that will definitely be taken on board ;)

Ah, that Python jibe - it's there to highlight her disdain for machismo and I apologise for any bruised egos it may incur! :p

Hey don't worry about the Python thing, old and ugly enough to take the hit!

But do keep up the writing, your characterisation is very good and it's a real skill keeping in character and mixing up the good and bad times, harder to do than people think.

Ended up reading the Twilight books (ran out of Iain M. Banks novels on holiday and it was all there was - well that's my story and I'm sticking to it) god I was almost diabetic by the end. The amount of sugar poured on the characters!

Don't pull punches but then you're most definitely not!

Couldn't agree more, Matt! And apparently, I'm in its target demographic! :rolleyes:
I'll add that it completely misses the mark with BDSM and it comes across as class exploitation more than anything.

Not all Ma'am! Even in the 34th century there are still some gentlemen left! :)
I'll only read them when allowed to. And it's not like I have to look under your pillow for them. :p

Yes, I love to read other people's stories whilst at work too!
Sometimes I find time to write my own, which is much more fun than writing the corporate bumpf I'm paid to do... ;)

Alot of you stories have a deep, dark, merciless, & gritty element to them, almost puts me in a Blade Runner mind set. :D
... you've got me hooked now lol :D

lol I was guessing that may be the case...as writting & gaming allows us to act out /do things we don't normally do in RL

loving the story so far (please keep the stories coming along :D) ...now I wonder how she'll get thru this latest development ;)
