Marra's Diaries

As an aside...

I was just attacked by one "Pirate Morgan" not far from Sacaqawea Spaceport in the Skaudai sector (roughly halfway to Jaques), who was flying a Python. They said they had been following me for some time and I had "something in my hold they wanted". I did have four tonnes of Panem Gold, amongst other various East India Company products.

No relation, was it?

I suppose there's probably a lot of Morgans in the galaxy, anyway.

Anyway, I sent them on a RemLok trip back to the port.

In Rabat's time, the Morgan Clan were many and feared throughout the outer edges of the bubble and the Pegasi Sector.

After his death, no-one wanted to follow his drug-addled, introverted daughter and so the clan split, some making their way back into the Core Worlds, some signing up with the ascending Kumo Crew. Others drifted out further into the Black, preying on explorers and traders on the supply routes to the far-away outposts.

It looks like you encountered one of the latter, Commander Winston!
You have my appreciation for putting down one of the treacherous rabble who failed to acknowledge and swear loyalty to Rabat's true heir ;)

“Something Vimes had learned as a young guard drifted up from memory. If you have to look along the shaft of an arrow from the wrong end, if a man has you entirely at his mercy, then hope like hell that man is an evil man. Because the evil like power, power over people, and they want to see you in fear. They want you to know you're going to die. So they'll talk. They'll gloat.

They'll watch you squirm. They'll put off the moment of murder like another man will put off a good cigar.

So hope like hell your captor is an evil man. A good man will kill you with hardly a word.”
-Terry Pratchett (Men at Arms)
