Mass Effect's SR Normandy

Maybe it has been addressed or mentioned already, I skimmed thru but couldn't find any postings about it.. But I'm a huge mass effect fan, what are the odds of getting a Normandy look alike on elite. I'm not sure how the "Rights" and things of that nature work. But is it a possibility?

I'm a total ME fan myself but seriously... The Normandy model only seems good because you have tonnes of emotional value attached to it. It's a horrible design born in the era of primitive 3d objects :)

Naa, Elite has it's own style.

Looks like there are a few upcoming space games where you can build your own ship. So you could build your own Normandy.

Let's get space legs and NPC crew first, as the Normandy was all about the interior of the ship; we never actually got to fly the Normandy in ME, nor did we even see it except for cutscenes.

Whats wrong with you people - Liberator - go on someone get the reference....

the liberator was the ship from Blake 7, i would prefer lexx or Battlestar galactica. but this is elite dangerous so i would really like to see the moray starboat and/or imperial trader with extending engine pylons like in elite 2 and FFE,(still not forgiven you DB for butchering the courier )

hahaha you're funnny.

But seriously...i suppose we are getting a T10 - so that's what one new ship in two years? I guess they are still planning on player group piloted capital ships? Is that still a plan? a la Star Trek Bridge Crew?

I was being sincere. :)

T10- TBA,
Dolphin,
Cobra IV,
Viper IV,
Beluga,
Vette & Cutter not sure if it has been less than two years, but pretty close.
Hmm, Keelback?

They have had quite a few ships in the last two years. Don't get me wrong though, I am all for more ships, just more Elite ships, not some from other sci-fi.

I sit corrected again....

Nova class Dreadnought from Babylon 5.

Apart from the aesthetic which fits in with Elite. You just cant get away from the intimidation factor of its guns. This ship by the way is about 1.5km long.
