I hope Elon also buys Facebook and Instagram, and swiftly applies the same management style. I'm sure they will have some Ligma Johnsons as well.
Would be good for three things: a) less "social" media, b) Frontier suddenly has more time to feed their own forum and c) Elon is broke.

As a 'normie' Twitters actually improved for me, and frankly if people think Mastadon is better then they are in for a rude shock
Elons scaring away the free lunch yoga pod people by......threatening them will hard work and not using public channels to shout at your boss, things that for my generation were common sense. Now Twitter needs to actually enforce its policies equally and then its game on.

I've survived with no Twitter account so far, if it disappears it wouldn't affect me in the least.
Yes, that is selfish, but "social media" doesn't figure highly in my everyday life, and the little I do interact is on here or discord, it works for me.

I see that my Twitter account was created in March 2009. Surprised it is still there since I have not used it in years.
You'd be surprised how many deem "not wanting to participate in social media" to be a mental condition worth treating. I, for one, deem those people worth treading on, but that's no popular opinion, either.Wait? It's selfish to not make yourself known to the whole world? When did that happen?
Twitter going down would be a good thing. Companies forcing their customers to have a totally unrelated third-party account to stay up to date is a very bad thing.
Frontier being more active on Twitter than on their own forums always bothered me. Like many months ago when they doubled the weekly ARX for a short time and only announced it on Twitter and didn't write a single word about it on the forums.
So personally I hope that Twitter goes extinct as soon as possible and that no replacement takes over.
