It has been a while since I have had to do the grind and it was pre-odyssey. I need to get a lot of high end materials for some ships I want to build.
Are these techniques still viable:
I always wished raw material collection was more effective. Is that better in Odyssey? I would rather have to hunt more to find a good planet, then be guaranteed a rich payout when I land and hunt in an SRV. Has that changed? I hate using hacks like HIP 36601 and log/relog stuff.
Are these techniques still viable:
- Raw Materials: HIP 36601 crystalline structure farming. Then use material traders to trade down. Never had a good solution for selenium that wasn't days of picking up random rocks in an SRV on a 4.3% world.
- Manufactured materials: Generally I get these from massacre mission + collector limpets, but I augment with the high grade emission log/relog farming for 30 min per site then use material traders to convert
- For encoded data materials I generally do wake scanning around stations and sothis mission rewards + material traders.
