Mauve Adders and latency issues [01-02 Sept]

Can't start the game from Steam here either, want's me to "install".
All game files validated though

Eventually started working, didn't have to make anychanges, just had to wait

Still getting long waiting time, Selling/trading to the bartender is taking a long time to complete the action.
 
I had also issues with starting the game from Steam. At first it requested to login, then install, then it started with Horizons logo in main menu, then it didn't show bottom panel in ship and Engineers disabled on the right panel. Weird
 
When I launched the game about 30 minutes ago (non-steam, non-epic, I had it installed directly from frontier a few months ago), the launcher showed a "Purchase" button only. I clicked the "Option" at the top, logged out and logged back in and then it showed Odyseey again and was able to start it.
 
Was online with a friend, both using steam voice chat and in a team/wing. Both got kicked out of steam chat and then when trying to restart elite had to relog into the launcher with email and password. When the game started it put us into standard elite game instead of odyssey (played the odyssey intro and was selected in launcher). On second attempt to start the game all seemed ok. We were on the way to the Oochorrs sector at the time.

Also has anyone had instancing issues when in a team and at a fleet carrier, the other team members ship is not visible but you can see their "signal", seems ok in supercruise and in normal space in other areas like space stations, planetary landings, its only an issue when at fleet carriers??
 
I just got a Taupe Cobra, first attempt loading in to the game this morning, it was taking ages to load. Second attempt now, taking ages again... Taupe Cobra again.
 
I was having crashing issues when the latency was high but I put that down to timing out, but I have not had any while the latency is normal. One thing I have noticed that has returned but might not be related is the black screen on exit and having to use task manager to close the game.

Been crashing a lot lately. Just now happened again (I send reports) just loading the game after shader warmup. The latency has calmed down.
Have you tried doing a "validate game files" from the game launcher as you may have a damaged file from all the crashes you mentioned.

That bug returned about a week before patch 13 & the patch did not change the behaviour.

Validating game files is always good advice. It may not fix a problem but it is an easy second diagnostic step (after rebooting the computer).

Just a really quick post to acknowledge reports of latency issues and matchmaking/Mauve Adder errors that have been experienced from some time yesterday, through this morning also.

The team are working on stabilizing the situation as I type, with hopefully some improvements already being seen now on live game.

I'll continue to keep an eye out through the course of the day.

Please do post in this thread if any of the following persists:
  • Longer than usual system jump times.
  • Mauve Adders.
  • Latency issues when performing actions such as selling and interacting.

hello, I recently found a green gas giant but did not map it because I thought it was not important. now I have completely looked at my entire route and could not find it in the system maps. Is there a possibility that the logs will check whether I really saw him and give me the coordinates of that green gas giant?

I'm not sure how this is related to the topic.

Your 'logs' are saved in C:\Users\<your username>\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous, they are text documents you can search through and there are community built 3rd party tools that can parse the info for you if you prefer.

GGGs are exceptionally rare, if you start a thread about your 'lost' discovery in the exploration section of the forum you will certainly attract attention from others who can help you rediscover it.
