You looking for a good instands - then if you found one where you can get mif and cif at the same time just finish the scan in the same privat or again in open or solo with the same time less.
This thread is in fact really, really old, and at that time (2016) the relogging on sites was absolutely useless - due to 2-weeks long cool-down timer - disregarding of modes (I've so far no any data confirming RNGesus dependacy on game modes)
There were a big rework on settlements trespass zones years ago. I have updated some of the related data in the source spreadsheet (but not for absolutely all settlements).
However I greatly recommend to just use EDDB "Attraction" feature to search for settlements (the list there is times bigger and udated recently), selecting group "Settlement" and "settlement type" or "treat level" according to your preferencies.
Beware thet "treat level" could be quite "subjective"

You are a lifesaver. It works and so much easier than the settlements.
Also, Modified Embedded Firmware in particular (along with Biotech Conductors and Exquisite Focus Crystals) can be snagged via passenger missions between Robigo and Sothis (Sirius Atmospherics)
Modiffied Embedded Firmware, Biotech Conductors and Exquisite Focus Crystals are mission reward from allied factions.
@HCGxKaLiBeR So settle in a system, get allied with the factions and do missions for them. You can get up to 5 materials for a single mission.
As mentioned above, Robigo runs are particularly good since one ca stack 6-7 missions when running a Python and fill up rather easy on materials while getting some credits in the process.
But getting materials this way really works in any system and it may be faster in a system in which you can get allied with 6-8 factions (more factions, more missions, more chances)
Well, settlements are not at all the optimal way nowadays to get those mats.
However, accurately speaking, they have not been "patched". Quite a few modifications since 2016, but still working in some cases=)
