Ships Medium size PVE ship loadout with fixed weapons

My main ship is my max engineered Anaconda with gimballed Burst Lasers, one gimballed corrosive MC and two small Feedback Cascade Railguns.
I love this ship and I can do all the PVE content easily, even solo elite wing assassination missions and combat zones involving capital ships.

However, I want to try something different. Please help me to find a medium ship PVE loadout, which:
1. Utilizes fixed weapons (when I want gimballed, I use my Anaconda)
2. Can kill small and large PVE enemies in a reasonable time
3. Can do solo elite wing assassination missions (average player skill with PS4 controller)
Credits and engineering unlocks/materials are no problem.

I have already read PVP ship loadout guides for medium ships and I have tried the Chieftain will full efficient PA and with two large efficient PA and gimballed overcharged Frag Cannons for the rest. This is pure fun. However, compared to my Anaconda the kill speed is very slow. I haven't tried solo elite wing assassination missions yet, but I doubt that I can manage them with this ship.

Do you have any suggestions?

If you want maximum kill speed, I believe you should go full frag. You probably want some incindiary against shields and rest normal. I have read that Anaconda got maximum theoretical DPS so against something which don't avoid you, everything will be slower with a similar loadout. The fragboat may beat if you get close and personal even though it got fewer hardpoints.

Probably an FDL

The FDL has good convergence for fixed weapons, whereas some of the other medium ships don't seem to (Mamba, I'm looking at you). As well as the four medium hardpoints, it also has one large which can reduce your kill time and makes it more effective against large ships. Finally, you can shield tank an FDL quite nicely which you will probably want to do if you want to solo wing assassination missions.

I have a couple of them. I tend to use a mix of fixed and gimballed, so on one I have (from memory) a couple of fixed medium pulse lasers, a couple of medium rails, and a large gimballed multi-canon to finish the hulls, and on the other a large fixed pulse laser, a couple of medium PA's and a couple of medium gimballed multi-canons.

Frag boats do kill fast, but is it really all that fun or challenging?

I had all Frags on my Krait for a while (all G5 overcharged) and it was a bit meh, I switched to 3X APAs and 2X IH - not nearly as fast/efficient (esp vs small targets), but more challenging.

Honestly, my PA / railgun Krait II is tons of fun to fly. It can kill larger ships quite easily (it can dance around a Corvette without taking a single hit), but small ships are very annoying if the NPC is any good (mostly harmless Cobra IIIs and Cobra IVs die more or less instantly, high-ranking Vultures take about as long as a Python).

This is my pve combat ship at the moment. Medium sized, all fixed weapons. Can do every thing you ask for. Krait mk2 with beams and rails.

There is still some work to do. Shield boosters to g5 principally.

How about an all mulitcannon FDL with Incendiary on the huge and corrosive on one of the others. Premium ammo for 30% damage increase.

The orca is a regular large, beluga is like XL
I see how people can get a weight problem now, eating something which seems like a medium, when it's actually large! The handling of the Orca I beautiful and much better than the medium python and krait. Atleast pre engineering, as the orca can't gain as much from going closer to minimum mass (already being so light) with dirty drag.

Im fairly certain the beluga actually turns faster, though its too speed is a bit lower (by 300 ms lol)

Try five PA's on a Python or Krait mk2 (or four on a Phantom), modded efficient + experimental of choice), quite challenging against smaller targets but very effective against the big ships

One of these, the other way around, was my first serious combat ship, 4 medium overcharged G5 Incendiary, and one large G5 overcharged corrosive.
