Hello Mr Kirby,

Being a designer, does that mean you work on Mission design?

ps - I made a cardboard jail for my daughter, complete with cardboard bars :)

I have worked on Missions, but not at the moment. But be sure some other talented members of the design team are working on those as we speak.
Cardboard buildings are always fun. I'm not ashamed of wanting to build cardboard forts whenever I see a pile of boxes.

Great interview. My wife and I are expecting out first baby in December so I painted a nursery that made my wife very happy. Here are some pictures if you are interested...

Also I've got a month off on paternity leave in December which might come in handy if a new bit of game play is getting released.*

* Who am I trying to kid, as if I'll have time....

Congratulations. :) The nursery pictures look great.

Best one of these for ages. I'm a man's man but I bet there's lots of banter in the office with you steve and your strangeisms.

Nice interview with Steve. Man passionate about his job and particularly by ED. Makes sense, he was raised in a family of commanders of the Elite

:)

I think you might have a lot of exciting new content to process!

Obtain size 1 nappies and wipes at 2am, time limit 0:15.

Persuade Tiny Cmdr to give docking permission for Milk Bottle.

Passenger mission: once around the block in the push chair. Ten times over

Cultural exchange: perform the ancient Earth melody Rockabye Baby to alien hatchling, at least 10 times.

Community construction goal: assemble baby bay, changing table and cot.

Exploration mission: discover 5 baby friendly cafes within walking distance.

Mining mission: extract one ton of meconium.

Assassination mission: Tiny Cmdr will liquidate about 6 months of parental sleep, if you're lucky.

But seriously, all the best to you and your copilot, the best part is just beginning!

It's actually a companion cube. But I have been thinking of making some Elite themed things.

Time for a cuddly-cobra...?

Nice interview - thanks for taking the time!

Last thing I made - dinner - an excellent 'family' (wife's Italian) bolognese recipe I have - made everyone very happy - and I love to cook, so win-win for me!

Cool interview. I recently completed a "Moo-mobile" for my daughter. It's a wooden car (made from a leftover pallet) for her toy cow. Have you ever made a cow? My daughter is looking for a female cow to complete her family of cows!

Can't say that I've had the Mootivation to make a cow yet.*

*I'm here all week for your pun needs :)

Good job emot-golfclap.gif

Federation, Empire, or Alliance? And why?
Alliance all the way. I love to support the underdog and I think there is a lot we can do with the Alliance. All I can say is if I get my grubby paws on them (in a game dev situation), then the Alliance is getting the special Steve love.

Pull some strings to get the, formerly, Alliance Prison Colony of Kan Aphu back to its glorious green state instead of being a boring independent! :(
