I totally forgot farming sims count. I've owned almost every Harvest Moon/SoS game and used to write HM walkthroughs. I followed Stardew from right back when it was called Sprout Valley and have so much merch. I am farming sim OBSESSED, and apparently a dingus for forgetting my own interests

There are no dumb questions, but no, we have our own! We've both been replying separately in this thread, so you can find our accounts that way

OMG, someone who knows the old petz games!!! Never leave us again! <3 I finally don't feel THAT old anymore.
And please tell me you miss petz too...
Also: Former Sims player here. Had everything (except Hokus Pokus) from 1 and all from 2, didn't get warm with 3 and moved over from EA to Frontier with the desaster that is Sims 4. (Yes, I'm merely a one game player)

How could I NOT know and love the old Petz games! I'm fairly "young" for the industry (I'm 25!) but I've been gaming since I was 2/3 and dabble in retro collecting and emulation, so I've got a pretty good range.
Hokus Pokus was fantastic, it's a shame you missed it. I didn't love 3 but played it a bit, but I do enjoy Sims 4 casually, though I miss a lot from 1/2 so it's never quite the same. My sister has just got a PC specifically for Sims and has spent days decking it out in custom content

I'm a family player in the Sims, so I miss the realistic genetic system and the huge variety of family play you could have in 2. Since I'm also a control freak and want to tell my own stories when gaming, the story progression in 3 was not for me. And even if you turned it off,it didn't quite work for my playstyle. That's actually what I enjoy about JWE and Planet Zoo: You have quite a huge variety in playstyles you can have.
Haha, now I want to see the custom content folder of your sister ^^ I think my sims 2 folder reached 18 GB back in the days (took around 45 minutes to load up the game, but was worth every bit). And shh, I'm afraid my PZ folder is sooner or later facing a similar fate. That poor thing
