Megaships - How do you actually locate one?

OK... Want to try out a couple of the new Megaship game assets.... How do you locate a megaship?


I thought the galaxy map might offer a filter, but nope...

Just fly around the bubble a bit....


Also it would seem the cargo holds are quite small. Certainly not what you would expect from a "Mega" ship and definitely not enough to justify a wing bounty.

Can anyone just tell me where to try one?


In typical gripping ED style, been flying around wee'ing time up a wall just to try something. Been to Aldebaran and Fisher's Rest, with seeming no additional "game play" available. Went to Altair as per the Livestream and no Megaship there...

So... Z Z Z z z z . . .


Anyone just able to point me to where a Megaship exists with this new gameplay?

Yes in Beta...

Just tried "The Midas" in Zeus, and again, nout gameplay... Off to Wyrd... Z Z Z z z z . . .

You should be told to Data Scan the Megaship no? And be able to Data scan it? Nothing like this on the last two I tried...

Should work on all of them you do need to get in range though the one in wyrd worked for me on Thursday hopefully you'll have some joy

Can't see a Megaship in Wyrd...

I've been at point blank and the Data scanner (when targeting the Mega ship does nout - is not permitted)


Cracking stuff this!


So can someone please just point me to a Mega ship that "works"?


EDIT: Found a tanker there - AND THAT ONE WORKS! Thanks!

Be aware though, that I hacked the cargo bay and for less than 100,000 credits worth of junk I got a 2,400 credit bounty. When I paid it off it cost me 13,850,000 credits... hahaha Seriously...
