Being Greek helps immensely with most of the languages, spelling and interpretation. Don't need any mnemonics (another greek word btw)
actually, knowing greek is what helps.
back in my time school teachers still insisted on illustrating us on latin and greek etymology. it is indeed a very valuable skill if you're a westerner and your whole culture has latin and greek roots. anglosaxons and germans have a harder time, most mediterranean cultures have it easier, but you don't really need to be born in greece. just taking the time to learn about the origin of words you use makes the whole difference.
