oh the irony, probably blocked me long ago :)
PD: I pretty much think about eagleboy every day hoping he gets better.

I am so sorry, no, I did not block you. I read your message and totally forgot to write response :D

...and procrastination is a very typical part of mental health issues! :) If you're socially anxious especially, even very minor interactions like answering a message or email or picking up the phone can be a little stressful when they normally wouldn't be, thus making us inclined to put them off, and not think about them if we can avoid it..

(says he... suddenly realising the long list of people I still have to email back...)

That's more of safety mechanism, which I struggle to find balance of :D But true, that's a bit indicative for me.

Yes but not always.

The procrastination is also the result of the temporary laziness or simply the lack of envy, which are not a mental health problem.

To be fair, it is hard to distinguish which is which. I don't give myself a pass, illness, quirk or not, I hate to look back and see day wasted. But sometimes it is really hard to get things done, despite me wanting desperately so. I have devised lot of tricks how to keep things going, but sometimes I wonder do others struggle in similar vain. As in the end I accept that it is how mind works, but I am really looking for improvements how to kick myself up in case when nothing really works.

I think in the end if you want things to be done, you have to find how to work with yourself, laziness or illness or personality quirk.

For my part, I think that to want to do all the things, without ever postponing them, is a grave mental disease.

:p

It is necessary to take a step back.

We often do of things which are not urgent or indispensable when we do them.
