Menus won't open anymore after clicking on the trade centre

Does anyone else ever have this problem and knows how to fix it? I didn't change anything and all of a sudden, today the game felt like "I'm done, bye".
Problem: Everything is okay until I try to open the Animal Trade button. After that no menu won't open anymore. I can see the tabs, but clicking on them doesn't do anything. Even when I try to save and exit the game, the game might save, but not quit.
I found some people having the same issue years ago, but they never found a solution. Here this guy on reddit made a video of the whole problem:

If anyone knows how to fix it, I'd be glad. As I said - I didn't change anything since last time I played and it worked fine before :(

My partner has had this issue for the past month, contacted frontier support and has had nothing back. It's her safe game and a hyper fixation for her and for over a month she's been completely unable to play her favourite game mode.

Looking at that Reddit post - it's from 4 years ago... This bug has been impacting people for over 4 years and it's still not fixed, but yet frontier can keep pumping out DLCs without addressing game breaking bugs?

Apologies for the rant, it's been a long month and this issue has really affected my partner, as it's pretty much the only game she plays daily, and is part of the community on discord too, but nothing ever seems to be addressed by the dev team, it's a shame to see that the team can keep focusing on more monetisation and not address a bug that's been impacting players for 4 years.

Will check and see if any relevant members of staff can expedite

@Paul_Crowther any chance we can get this issue looked at? There's been a few tickets in the backlog for this same issue on the frontier issue tracker but it's been at least 4 years and it's still happening.

I still have this issue but I've found out a sort-of-workaround, so hopefully it will work for your partner as well and lets her enjoy the game again:
First, unpause the game, so the time runs normal again. With that done, click on every menu button, like the zoopedia, the pathing menu, the help menu, the blueprint menu, all the side buttons and bottom buttons except the trade centre (for both habitat animals and exhibit animals). Do this back and forth until the menus open again. Then try the trade centres. They should now open as well. If not, try the whole procedure again. It works everytime for me.

Holy crap, that worked for her!!! I don't know why or how but she can play franchise mode! Thank you so so so so much!!!!!

Naaah, you're giving me too much credit, but I guess I can re-feel how your partner is feeling now. Planet Zoo is so much more than a game. It's a stress reliever, it's a creativity tool and for every animal lover it's just happiness. For me, it also became a way to cope with life when things are not going too well. So yes, when the game is unplayable, these benefits which became so important are gone all at once. Send some greetings to your partner. I'm really happy I could help.

For me the bug also only occurs in franchise mode. It somehow seems like the communication with the franchise server is causing it. But I don't know how and why.
