Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

Hello, everyone.
I've been reading abot your adventures at Mikunn for last few days. It sounds like great fun. So this evening I've started my jurney to join you. I'm about 80 light years away, so I think I'll manage in day or two. See you then. I hope you are still recruiting :)

My in game name is John_Wayne_HR.

Anyone is welcome to join... except the HR at the end of you name is MIGHTY suspicious. HR is the system of our enemy....hmmmmmm. =p

So I have few questions on things to do:

  1. When an NPC who is allied with Dukes is also wanted in Mikunn, what to do, just ignore them?
  2. The "Goods Wanted" locations in HR 7327 are staffed by ships allied with various HR 7327 factions. What, if any, interaction should we have with them?
  3. Do you think that taking missions from HR 7327, then wandering around USS waiting for counteroffers to be made would be helpful?

1. ignore
2. try to give it to mkiunn only, first cargo scan to see what they want, these ones seem to want narcotics, once you got these fly near them thell buy them automaticly
3. it helps ...

I agree with everything Liu said except point 1, where I'm not sure.

Personally I ignore, but there are no competing factions in Mikunn soooo... I don't know.... it just might not matter.

Hello Dukes!

Since the simulation seems to be stuck I spent some time exploring the surrounding systems, and in Meng Mu I came across this:

I've never seen this kind of station with beams like that before. Looks like they are building support beams for a habitat wheel. Could this be a sign of the station growing or expanding? Or is it a normal feature I just haven't seen yet?

These stations were already in beta.

You certain? Because building wasn't in beta and if thats the case then we are definitely looking at nothing new.

nah these stations i saw in beta. nothing new ... but i cant say for sure if that stations has been different and changed since game start.

* Spassky Station growth? Wonder how we can make it grow? By missions (we done hundreds of them) or by bringing lots and lots of food to the station. Or any other commodities?

Population is maybe not growing as there is not enough food.

my biggest problem with all this is that we're running around in the dark with the exact rules of simulation unknown. We are just guessing. Hell, we don't even know if the HR is buggy now or not -_-

Welcome to the club! The only thing I can say that helps this feeling is to accept that things might be bugged, track your mission and outcomes, take a look at the threads on the forums during the development process and talk and test, examine results, and talk and test some more. The Lugh system has had many starts, fails, and blocks. We do something differently and watch what happens. It's the only thing we can do.

BTW, trading does make a difference to the influence when done in addition to the missions. Other than that...we are playing and learning along with everyone!

From the DDF one way that was described to increase the population was to put the system / faction into "economic boom" mode. I have seen this mode in Xihe before and I think it is still active. It may be worth taking some screenshots once a day to see if the population count moves - we'll know if that part is working or not. I don't think you need to go to the system to get the screenshot, should be enough to open the map (although one needs to go there to be sure the "economic boom" state is still active - grab some rare goods if you do go there).

Unfortunately the state is frozen on Mikunn, so we couldn't try for an economic boom if we wanted.

Im pretty sure a few times that population in slaves was already hauled there.

Imagine if upgrading a station was made in missions or trading - bring 1000000t of various metal, computer components whatever and while we bring in said items we see a station growing and construction crews at work. Also, missions could be issued for protecting the station, interdiction of people who wish to blow it away. Possibilities are endless.

Well yes, thats exactly what the dev diaries lead us to imagine.
