Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

Liu-Kang, Steuben and I have blockaded Gabriel and Friend last evening. I wouls say about 30 destroyed ships alltogether including 2 anacondas.

Nice work. Before checking the thread, I looked at the Influence levels and got a nice surprise. That's a 3.1% point gain on Dynamic Commodities.

From what we know, killing faction ships lowers their Influence (probably indirectly by lowering their Security). But that couldn't have been the only thing going on, as Dukes also gained 1.1%. Maybe the Missions Influence thing does work, or started working.

Well if they are losing influence we can assume its getting distributed evenly amongst the others.

I killed about 50 ships last night, from all factions there but the dukes. For the past two days I've been scouring USS's and have found the number of ships I can pound through is surprisingly high, due to the system authority that inevitably show up when I hit random non-duke civilians :D

I'm thinking about making a quick guide on it for everyone, as I have also been making a decent profit. Also stacked some slave missions and got the alternative offer while beating through those USS's, and did it multiple times.

As you can see, even though it might be helping dukes in Mikunn rather than HR, it does have a detrimental effect on the native HR factions that offer the alternates.

Been testing the strategy for two days and I think I'm ready to post a quick guide in the comWatch

Ahahaha:-D You are on.
Is that Law Party and HR bounty together?

HR. I mostly leave Law alone. (Already unfriendly and dont want to tip it to hostile.)

Im hitting HR hard.
The other factions slightly (mostly because they aren't as common in the USS's)
Law Party little to none
Mikunn none

You're right. We're not increasing Dukes Influence, besides redistributing Dynamic Commodities and to a lesser extend Law Party. I was doing the math, and Dukes, Silver, and Future all increased the same proportion, 4% increase over yesterday's Influence Points (103.7% of yesterday's 29.7 Influence = 30.8 Influence for Dukes, 103.7% of Silver's 8.5 Influence = 8.8 Influence and 103.7% of Future's 5.1 Influence = 5.3 Influence). Law Party only went up 2.5%, so they took a bit of a hit.

Guess Missions Influence isn't doing anything, or we didn't do enough Missions to make a difference.

Should post that in the Gd mikunn thread. Even though Michael said they are looking into it might help show why we think things are messed up.

Not a bad idea. Looks like Brookes isn't on the forums today, so it'll probably scroll off by Monday. Better add these details then. He did say they'd look into the where the Influence is going. They fixed it last time with the State changes after a few days.

Wait, so is our destruction of non-Mikunn ships actually doing anything?
Looks like it. They lost 2% Influence.

Dynamic Commodities has been Pending Boom, Civil Unrest, AND Lock Down for the last 6 days. Boom isn't Critical. I think as long as we keep up the pressure, lowering DC Influence, I doubt we'll see them go into Boom.

Make sure not to make any delivery mission that has Dynamic Commodities as there destination ...

So with what MB said if we go to civil war with HR would we take Hiraga and thus the system?

I think he said we need to take the minor stations owned by the controlling faction first. So that would be Friend Enterprise. This is assuming the Civil War bug is worked out. We were suppose to go against Law Party, but that obviously didn't happen.

Yup we need to take Friend first if we go that route. FYI Dynamic has been Boom critical for a few days. Law went civil unrest quickly when the blockade started so I assume that is security bottoming out but not sure if we can affect boom that way. Since Michael says killing trade ships doesn't affect influence might not be able to eliminate boom.

Edit: I specifically was asking about another project other players were doing. Two stations only one owned by the controlling faction so the invaders went straight for the controlling faction. That's what he answered there.

The questions were about his original statement that you need to take "their" lesser stations first. He meant any controlling faction lesser stations first. Everyone assumed he meant all lesser stations that's why rereading his quote I started asking that question.

But I just quoted Michael where he said the winner gets the most valuable station not the least ergo if we went to civil war with HR we would get Hiraga not Friend if we won.
