Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

Yes, but it did not let me restock either at Kwtee (Heres..smth station),Mikunn or Gabriel station....must be a bug then.

Btw, I think we should focus on killing System Defense forces I just got a bump on influence (0.2) by killing one thourgh interfictining one near Friends stationl. It maybe also depends on how close you do it to there main station....we are at 33.2 vs Dynamics at 34.2...

I'm not sure I understand. Can you elaborate?

I haven't worked with limpets myself, but my understanding was that if you have a controller installed you can buy limpets at any station with repair facilities, which would include Spassky's in Mikunn.

From the main station menu go to munitions, then select limpets to buy the required amount (filling up cargo space with them, so leave some room for the actual cargo ...). Just rearming will not restock them.

Is that incorrect?

Correct, that's how I do it :)

What is HR Dynamics influence at this point? I'm at work and can't check, there should have been an influence update, right?

Time to time I see ships with name : System Defense force, which appear to be more valuable than normal Authority ships. I check the Dukes influence status every time I kill an authority ship and I noticed a big bump on our influence when I killed that guy. It maybe be someone else did something else at the same time so it is hard to narrow it down to this single action, but I do not think many pilots are out there on Monday morning.
And since we only 1% from Dynamics, authority ship are consists of Anacondas as well....

Dukes: 33.2
HR Dynamics: 34.2 (down)
Law: 17 (up)

I assume we need to get it higher than HR Dynamics to trigger a civil war right?

What makes them appear to be more valuable?

And influence changes occur only once a day, as far as I can tell. 11:00 AM GMT

I killed about 50 authority ships yesterday together with Telakin.
He's a good wingman, even though sometimes he pulls off some risky moves :p

I see, so it was pretty much around that time (10:30 GMT) when I noticed the change :)
I did not know they only change it daily.

Yes - sorry. As I lately spent most of my time alone hunting elite condas and other bounties I tend to boost about just as needed so I may have cut it a little close here and there. Also it would help if I could reconfigure the proximity-chirp to something like the horn from the discovery scanner ... ;)

But it was definitely fun and should be repeated.

Originally Michael said it takes a few hours to cycle through the inhabited universe but as far as I have seen its as above. Once a day there is a influence change.

Holy cow, we're close! I think they must have fixed something.

We're already higher than the other factions, so theoretically we could trigger a civil war even if it's not with Dynamics.

Okay, one more Viper reporting for duty! Where should I start? Killing non-Duke police and army craft in HR or get my friendly/allied status with the Dukes (missions from Mikunn)? First I need to get my kids to bed...

I have been doing missions recently on and off to get my rep up with the dukes. Keep seeing the assassination missions rewarding 150k is it even remotely possible to do this in a cobra or will i have to be saving up for something much bigger? Can take out an ASP without any thought but have been reluctant to test my mettle against much bigger.

I regularly take out dangerous Asps and anacondas in my Viper and Eagle....dont be afraid just go for it.

Yes - a little chaff and some shield cells don't hurt and as long as you keep the conda's exhausts in focus you'll be set to earn some credits. Also target the power plant sub system for a shorter fight and play with directional thrusters to keep off center to the firing arcs.

As a trade runner doing missions in my cobra, would there be any reason for me to do a bit more fighting?
I'm happy to continue to do my deliveries to and from HR, but if there is a better plan you guys have, let me know.

As long as you have fun stick to it. If you want to give hunting a go hang out in the teamspeak and see who you can join in some jousting. It's a fun experience, just be prepared to pay the insurance on the ship should the biowaste hit the vents.
