Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for turning your attention to the situation in Lugh. Our agreement for the fair amount of trade goods will be honored shortly. We appreciate your help throughout our time of need.

Commander Roybe
Ambassador of Lugh

<RP off: You guys rock! Keep up the work on the background sim, it's getting so much better because of your efforts.>

Can we get an update on the ComWatch or here on what we're suppose to be doing in Lugh, and the compensation rate?

I updated the ComWatch with all I know... which isn't much. I'm sure I will know more soon.... but its the same procedure as always. We have been doing it for a while.

If the enemy is in authority... you know what to do.
If Crimson State is in authority... we bounty hunt.
Don't trade with factions that are not Crimson State.
Blockade stations that are not Crimson State.

The one extra thing we will be doing at the same time is managing far more invading players than we ever have had to deal with, but the dark armada has given us practice in that regard too.

Hello

Hello Mercenaries,

till the servers are back online i thought that its time to read this whole thread.
I am actually a solo player. But with achieving my brand-new Python, there isnt much to do for me in solo mode.
So i am very interested to play in your group...to be a merc...in the 'open'-universe (my first try)...FOR THE DUKES!!!

No we are going to help Lugh right now. =p

But otherwise you have it correct.

Lugh? I'm not informed last few days, I guess. My apologies... work and so on... :)
I have a few usuall soldier's questions (after I find Lugh on the map)... Where do I sleep, where do I eat and where do I shoot? I mean where is our base there and who is the enemy? :D

Thanks

Hey John, I understand, sometimes it's easy to lose track as fast as things develop around here.

I covered a few things here...
... and the very next response from Monte has a link to a google spreadsheet that he's started with important locations.

From my understanding, Monte found that Lu Velorum is the most suitable independent system with a decent station providing a shipyard, outfitter, etc. that's a short flight from the main star. He chose this as a safe place for any Mercs of Mikuun who have a bad reputation with the Federation, and wanted a safe haven to dock at.

Otherwise, Lugh itself has several stations already owned by the Crimson State Group. Knight's Dock, Bellandin Station, among others, which all provide services, but it's a very active system, with a lot of combat going on, both PvP (interdictions by other players) and PvE (checkpoints and combat zones).

Thank you. I'll be there to help as soon as I can :)
If I'm reading right, there is some serious situation there. :D

Well, folks can speculate...

Feds hold emergency congress to discuss the situation in Lugh, call CSG "terrorists" and promise use of force.
Checkpoints appear in Lugh.
Wings.
Federation announces they've just finished their new FNS Nevermore, Farragut class cruiser.

Frontier couldn't have hired people to create a better test environment.

I will be creating a thread on Spassky's Inheritance when I get home that will go more in depth on our goals, procedures, and our rules of engagement. Until then, ask others in the teamspeak; Lucifer and Beausant should know what to do if they're online.

Basically what Sakeel said. We are helping the Crimson State Group take over Lugh, and our primary target is Lugh for equality. There are many ways you can help out, including kicking fed players out of the system. Hopping in the teamspeak is probably the best way to figure out what is happening at the moment. Also there are wings, what better way to break-in 1.2 than tearing things up in Lugh?
