Mercenaries of Mikunn - The Background Simulation and Colonization Test

The Faceless Man would like to join you... Perhaps...

Hello Pirates that occasionally fly the Empire banner.

I have been watching you from afar for a while now and may be interested in joining you.

Are you Empire or Independent. Or are you simply mercenaries that fight for the highest dollar?

How would one join your perhaps not so nobel order?

Regards
The FacelessMan

We are independent and the main purpose of this group is to test the background simulator. Our group is styled after mercenaries that fight for the highest dollar though, and 'mercenary' allows everyone to play their preferred playstyle.

To join you have to make it to Mikunn. Once you do that I will add you to the list.

Im pretty sure wings has made us more disorganized. We spend so much time trying to group together to jump on a point when we just converged on it before. Don't rely on the Wing, remember you can jump in yourself.

Then again organization was poor in general today. =\

It's a new system. We need to acclimate to it, and it'll work just fine. There might be a few issues for the devs to work out, too, to help make it smoother.

Hi guys!

Sadly my mic broke yesterday so I'm not able to join you in teamspeak until i get a new one.

I'll be staying at Lugh and try to further our cause.

Unfortunately I can't read our plan for Lugh as I wasn't able to register with Spassky's Inheritance due to some issue with gmx.de mail.

Looks like Missions for the Dukes now affect the Dukes Influence. At least in Sukua. We're now tied with Gold Syndicate and have gone Civil War Critical. Once War were Declared, we can do combat missions and turn the bonds in at Spassky's. That may be the only way to move Influence, as it's combat missions and "actions" that are suppose to be effective during Civil War.

Edit: I think we may be able to turn in Combat Bonds at any station in the System we have a presence in. So maybe no need to go to Mikunn to do so. May even be bad, as I don't know if Influence will be applied to Mikunn or Sukua.

Do combat bond increase reputation with the faction?? Like does handing in combat bonds in Lugh increase my personal rep with CSG?

As I remember, Gold syndicate is minor pirate faction. Why would we go to civil war with them? What is there to gain except influence, maybe?

It might do.

Yeah, they do. When I was in Ngaiawang and Falisci, during the community event, I started out neutral with the Citizens of Tradition, and ended up allied within just a couple days.

You are correct. They hold nothing. We don't really have a choice to go to war with them, as it happens automatically when we raise Dukes' Influence, which will have to cross theirs.

You are also correct the only thing to gain is Influence. We're trying to gain enough Influence to eventually challenge a group that does hold a station. During Civil War, the stated means of gaining Influence are "combat missions and actions" and MB stated combat bonds now add to a faction's Influence. The question is, does it help a faction when turning in combat bonds in another system, which is what we'll be doing.

I wouldn't be in a huge hurry to return, as we're still in Boom. Unless there's been a change in the States system, we'll have to wait until Boom ends. The previous one went between 21 and 23 days. The current one is at 14 days. It may be less "boomy" as there aren't any Seeking Luxuries.

Meanwhile, anybody still in the area could continue doing Missions in Sukua for the Dukes. Avoid doing trade, as that will help the station owners. I didn't have the time to make it out to Lugh yesterday, so I figured I'd just do some Missions in Sukua.

Boom does not have Seeking Luxuries anymore, they deactivated that part for the moment.

I hope they tweak it and bring it back. I recall the main complaint was Booms in systems where the luxuries were available already. That didn't make sense. I can't see why they can't bring it back but only spawn when the luxuries aren't available in system or maybe spawn different luxuries under demand (say rares).

Any of you guys having massive crashes on LUGH? The game keeps crashing everytime within 2 minutes of fly through the system.
