Any ideas how Horizons will affect BGS? How about your members who would not be able to land on planets?
My guess is that it just gives people more stations to land at, except that they are ground based, and work the same way as regular stations.
Hi there, you could probably classify me as a noob as I don't think I've even reached 10 hours play time yet. I've been making most of my cash from exploring and quite enjoying it. I'm only in a cobra but I think I'm ready for a new challenge. Not sure what use I can be or how many hours I can play but I think I'm in your area and I'm available.

So I made history yesterday: first to run out of fuel while landed, first try by the fuel rats of a planetary rescue effort and in two wings, no less. They found me with the coordinates (only had 4 min of oxygen left). Sadly also the first to die on a planet in Mikunn, as the fuel limpets failed and couldn't deliver to a landed ship. So also first to sit in my SRV and watch my FAS blow up and have to self destruct my SRV to respawn for the little fee of 3 mil. creds.
So - check your fuel levels when exploring. Not sure, but planetary flight might have higher consumption levels.
And thanks to the fuel rats for their valiant efforts. Hope you find a procedure that works for future stranded pilots on a planet.

PS: I've yet to see an explanation why a ship would blow up when out of fuel. Failing power plant containment?

Hi again, thanks for your reply. I've signed up on your website. I can sell my exploration data in wangana too if it helps. Our PC is in the living room and between a husband and a new addition to the family voice comms is a little difficult. Think I'm gonna keep exploring for now but let me know if there is anything else I can do? Never been in a wing before but sounds good.
Wangana is still good, and the Dukes faction (DoM) appreciate any activities to further system influence in Wangana (missions, bounty hunting).
For a change of scenery, the Mercs of Mikunn (MoM) faction appreciate any similar support in the Sefrys system.
Regarding TS and voice comms - if you're able to listen in you're still welcome to join in and wing up and use the chat function for any comments or questions you might have. Just add something like (#chat only) to your name and we'll be sure to keep an eye out for any written interaction. A few Cmdrs regularly join in like this when they're in situations where they can't talk and still stay connected this way. Also when you're in a fighting wing and one of the other Cmdrs is calling targets you'll be able to contribute just as well.

Oh nice idea, I didn't think of that. I don't have team speak but I will try to listen in on voice comms. My commander name is Angel Rhapsody, feel free to add me to your friend list anyone. I have four lasers on my cobra. I have tried shooting planets but no effect, so maybe I'll try some enemy ships some time.
Unfortunately, we don't really use the in-game voice communications. So if you want to listen to us yammer on, you'll have to install TeamSpeak 3 and log onto www.elithor.com. It's free.

Hi Guys, just wondering should I join a power? Do we have an official power? I think I read a few posts mentioning Mahon. Still doing missions from Sefrys, HR 7327 and Mikunn. Also thanks to lost of great advice in the forums I popped my combat cherry finally. Someone recommend following the cops around in the nav beacon and helping them kill pirates, worked very well and my cobra survived. Although at heart I 'm still an explorer I think. With that in mind I have my sights set on an Asp but the price seems like it might take quite a while before I get one.
We were supporting Mahon but you don't need to do that anymore. Feel free to support who you want.
