Mesh fences as walls and roof pieces

The mesh fences are a brilliant addition, thank you so much for this.

However, it would be even better if we also had them as wall and roof pieces that snap together as a number of people have suggested in different threads.

This would be so helpful in maximising creativity and making it easier to put them together.

I really hope this will be possible.

I agree having both gridded and non gridded pieces is very useful, so I hope we get eventually the full set with the triangle pieces and the roofs.

Triangular pieces, indeed mate. I tried recreating aviaries with the new pieces but honestly struggling around the corners. Personally, even curved pieces would be useful/helpful.

Perhaps they are planning to add it as a new barrier type that will allow players to automatically create closed-top enclosures?

This is what came to my mind when I saw the new mesh fence assets in the patch notes. Perhaps this is purely preliminary artwork laying the foundations of a new barrier system, which was also added as separate items in a previous patch.

Although, if my theory isn't correct, I would very much like the system you suggested, to be able to create our own custom aviary buildings.

Well, don't we all wish for custom aviaries, too?
Let's just hope, despite my low expectations, that Frontiers pull off an aviary pack in the future, which should reinforce your theory

Yeah on-grid would be great, but even just triangular pieces as a start to make building in different angles easier. 1m, 2m, 4m triangles would just give it that little bit more versatility, but on-grid would be the icing on the cake.

@NZFanatic love that shape! It would indeed be cool to also have triangle pieces.

i don't know if it helps but Poisonblade uses the mud collumn pieces to get a grid, lines the non-grid pieces up and then uses angle snap. Might help in some cases when some of you need an on grid piece as well. Of course it would ve great if Frontier could add them as well. Personally I love having both but with mesh pieces prefer off grid

I would really like it if they would make it possible to let the Pieces snap to each other. At least the one I've used so far, didn't snap when I've built a Roof with them directly after the Update (the 4m one with wooden Frame)

They snap side-to-side, but not top-to-bottom, which is annoying.

Jus tested it in Sandbox. They really need to do a little bit of additional Work on it. Left and right it works perfectly fine but it doesn't snap on the upper and lower Edge
Only the one without Frame (Variation 01 and 02) in the Sizes 1m x 1m and 2m x 2m seem to snap in every Direction

I can't even really use them for more as decoration around my zoos or somewhere in habitats. Guests cannot see through them. I had planned to do an entire facility with smaller animals using these and railings like a section of my local zoo, but guests will just ignore it since they see it as a solid wall. I say this as I watch them [the guests] stare at elephants THROUGH a concrete wall.

Sorry for bringing this old thread up, but I still want a gridded mesh set with wall and roof pieces. Frontier, if you are running out of ideas for the free updates, please consider this! It would make it much easier for casual players to build cover enclosures for our cats and primates and birds.

Support this entirely. It’s such a basic part of zoo building and would be pretty revolutionary in making building significantly more easy and less time-consuming.

Triangular pieces would be great too.
