Horizons Metallic Meteorites

The past few times I have been scouring the surface for elements I have experienced great difficulty in finding any metallic meteorites. In the past I used to find them in groups of three after not very long wandering the surface eliminating all the other wave-scanner interference. Now I am lucky if I can find even one in an hour.

Have the seeding "rules" for metallic meteorites changed? Are you finding them more prevalent in certain terrains?

I know they look like drops of "poo" but now they seem to be made from rocking-horse "poo".

yea crater edges - mountainous areas - plains around the mountains - & all my metallic meteorites are gold colored btw - the mesoderites look like piles of dung to me

Crater edges in close proximity and craters within craters also seem to generate enhanced zones of varying materials. Those are my preferred go to areas. From the edges of the inner crater for meteorites, outcrops and mesosiderite in the walls, and outcrops in the center along with the usual bronzite whatchamacallits. Rich pickings most of the time.

Some planets have a real low chance to spawn metallic meteorites and other planets have plenty of them.
I would recommand to change the planet if you can't find enough ;)

Aaah i just leave this link here if someone has problems with the wave-scanner:

Just to be clear, I have no problems using the wave scanner, fully conversant with it, thanks.

I must have been just suffering from a run of poor seeds as, since my OP, the past few moons / planets I have been on have had a good smattering of MMs.

Thanks all
