Yeah, I think I'm going to experiment with the weather over water next time I'm playing.
I've been trying to dig into the actual game modes for FS2020 - will there be something like an economy or missions or such there to fly cargo or passenger transport? I've used FS Economy with X-Plane and while it is good it is a rather clunky interface, if something similar was integrated in to FS2020 I think it would essentially replace Elite as my go-to relaxation game.
I fly with FSE too (in P3D), have used it for over ten years now and I love it. I hope FSE gets a client to integrate into FS2020, but yeah it would be super sweet if Microsoft included a campaign or RPG aspect built into the sim.

Yeah, I am torn between wanting something dedicated in FS2020 or hoping for a really good integration with FSE! The pro's for FSE are a large user base and well balanced economy, it has been going for ages so most of the kinks should be ironed out by now I would hope But something dedicated to FS2020, but with a similar "hard core" focus could easily give all players, casual and otherwise, a good reason to fly, and prolong the games popularity by quite a lot! I would almost expect that XBOX users will be very happy for this as they won't have a chance to use 3rd party non-sanctioned addons.

Nope, not until the end of the year. Though it does sound like we are getting a release date next month (April).
I wonder which will come out first: Flight Sim 2020, or Elite's New Era? I have a hunch we'll see FS2020 first. I know I'm more excited for it, especially since I have information about it while I don't know a single thing about ED's New Era.

Same, I've played FS9 so incredibly much, made paints for it too.
I loved that game desperately, untill I became older and started to enjoy the convenience of consoles.
FS9 is about the game I miss most on console, and a good hotas.
The other day I cleaned out one of my closets, it was packed with dvds containing planes and scenery for FS9.
I'm gonna buy the new Xbox Series X for sure and FS 2020 will be on it!!!!!

silly question, didnt you try to enter the alpha? Or is it maybe limited and closed now?
It's limited access. Lots of people signed up for the alpha on day one yet have not been invited, myself included.
Are there mods for X-plane that make the roads more realistic?
No idea about any freewares, Im out of the xplane loop, but ORBX has a big sale on its products right now, and I think their scenery packs makes roads much more accurate among other things:

Indeed. I registered day one.
Course I was in the 16 gig plebeian tier, which effectively killed my chances. They've hinted that us 16 gig ram folks will be fine to play it, but that doesn't get me in the Alpha today.
This is far and away my most looked forward to game on the horizon. Can't wait until it releases.
