Game Discussions Microsoft Flight Simulator

I may be pulling a Mr. Magoo here, but I can't see anywhere in the MS store page what are the differences between the standard, deluxe and premium deluxe editions (otehr than different prices).

Here's a link. The pricing is about what you'd expect - £110 for the premium deluxe version isn't too bad I suppose - hope it's the same price on pc.

That's a strange list of airports when they made such a big deal of detailing every single one of them by hand.

Yeah, though it is rather the runways and basics that were edited. I guess handcrafted airports are much better detailed with unique radio control voices and whatnot.

What was stunning in the trailer that the Shanghai skyscrapers had 3d interiors, so I guess unique landmarks are also properly crafted.

I guess there is no reason to go beyond standard version anyway, as the 'endgame' item, the 787 is already in. :)

I'm also going for the premium version, at first glance it's a bit on the expensive side, but I believe that I will play this game for an insane amount of hours, so in the end it's a steal anyway. Plus it has more small planes, as I tend to do tourist / sightseeing flights much more than actually replicating commercial flights, small / agile planes with better outside view suit me better.

I'm considering the x-box pass and see if it gets released on Steam - which would give me time to decide whether I need those extra planes.

Is it free for those with Microsoft gamepass Ultimate? If not...I'll wait out since it's a bit too much on the expensive side for my liking. I've spent a fair bit on my main flight sim, IL2 Great Battles over the years (as much as I spent on Star Citizen to be fair) and since it's purely a commercial/civilian flight sim, MSFS might not interest me as much when compared to the IL2 series which has everything from accurately modelled tanks to WW1/WW2 aircraft.

The lack of a 'mission' generator or some form of career mode would relegate it very quickly to the 'play very occasionally' games SSD for me...a bit like Eurotruck sim 2, even though that has a career mode.

I think you'll still be able to buy the version upgrades later if you at some point decide to get the extra planes. It will probably cost a bit more than buying the deluxe version from the get go, but dilluted in time the extra cost will probably not be that much.
