I think that would be a good idea. Give any tips about combat we have, test weapon load outs, etc.

All - I'm, changing the request for a home system a bit today... Your mission is to find a HIGH TECH system that we can build a training facility. This station will serve to provide us the resources necessary to conduct training ops prior to accomplishing our missions. It needs to have a station or two preferably that provide for most of the hardpoints, modules, and Utility Mounts in the game relatively close to the star (within 1000 Ls). Having an earthlike planet is not necessary, but is preferred if possible. I'm working today so I won't be on until later, but I plan to submit our group to the forums tonight or possibly tomorrow morning (US Timezone), depending on the feedback I get from you guys. I will however work on a mission statement, and post that here, so check back soon.
Side notes:
-We're going with Mole HD's Spartan patch and I plan to use the background he provided in the overview/mission statement.
-Military Militia is going to be our group name currently, but if you have a suggestion please let me know. I'll be checking in regularly prior to submission.

I know a few quiet out of the way Hi tech systems in Li Yong Rui space with ready access to pristine mining, trade and bounty hunting via HiRes and CZ sites. It's also central to Federation and Imperial space. I use Jadlillke as a home base already and I rarely see human commanders there except for those I invite and show the way. Most ships and all modules are available in station or within 1 jump.
The hi tech system is Jadlillke, with the high population industrial refinery world, Huiche, being 1 jump away. Pristine and undisturbed mining can be had in Algol, a pretty system with no habitation. Sales of minerals/metals can be made in Ross 332 which is a mere 3.2 ly from Algol and 2 jumps from Jadlillke/Huiche. Have a tour around there and see what you all think. If you'd still prefer something outside of Powerplay territory, I know a few of those too.
For anyone who doesn't already know, all ships and modules are 15% discounted anywhere in Li Yong Rui space, regardless of faction or Powerplay allegiance. I'm strictly freelance with regard to Powerplay since I found it interfered with general gameplay outside of it.
I would suggest however, that as a group, Military Militia should be there to assist other players in game, since this goal isn't far removed from our real life mission as servicemen and women.

Without having looked at Mole's recommendations, his systems sound good to me. Can't look until tonight.
Just based off what mole has I agree with that area.

Yeah we are legit current and former military. We've got, so far, U.S., Australian, and British services covered.
Did I miss a country?
I would say that "it's never too late to join up," but that's not entirely true.
