General Mining and False positives

Please for the love of god please fix the 95% rate of false positives while using the pulse wave scanner, I swear about 95% of what LOOKS like a bright glowing asteroid is nothing but junk and is 100% NOT a node that can be cracked open to harvest. I have now wasted over 100 limpets on nodes that are NOT viable. This is basically a broken feature and is just not working.
Something else that needs to be adjusted is that asteroid rings should repopulate with more nodes as I have been searching now for several hours, I have not found anything and I am flying around in a CLAIMED hotspot & I say claimed because NO nodes are popping up on the scanner that are even viable and are nothing but false positives which is dumb.

Some more information would be useful. What mineral are you looking for? What's type of ring/hotspot are you in? Which system/planet is this? What level of reserves does the ring have?

Each type of ring only has one model of asteroid that is a motherlode rock. Once you learn to identify that you will make more better progress. You will also see that what you thought was a bright rock is not compared to the right one.

Yep this.
Find one rock that has what you are looking for. LTD/VO/whatever Then study that rock's shape. Then only prospector limpet glowing rocks that are that shape. And there is a difference in how the right ones glow compared to the rest. A tube video masy help, if you are still having issues.

You know, you can see the cracks you're suppose to fire the seismic charges into quite clearly. If the rock doesn't have cracks, don't shot a limpet at it.

☝️This ☝️

There are no false positives.

Bright rocks highlight not just core deposits, but also deposits for anything that's not just laser mining.
The difference in glow (and shape) between core deposits and anything else is evident, it just takes a bit of training.

Learning it is part of the skillset for this activity.
