Mining Hotspot...how does it work?

I am a void Opal miner like many of us and was wondering how the hotspot system works. Is there a high change of running into cores the closer you are to center? Is there a range from the center where the change of finding cores drops off?

Just be in the hotspot.
Things are so random, anyone who claims anything specific is deluded. Ignore them.
(Although dead center is more likely to be mined out)

I've been close to center but also 2-3Mm far from center or even farther away
If any, being far from center reduces the chances to find yourself in an already mined zone

Are there any insights or at least speculations on whether the visible blob size matters? Are they dynamic (as in shrinking after heavy mining)?
I have not yet seen anyone claim either that distance to the center matters, or anyone with any credibility claim the hotspot size shrinks.

If you are void mining (or even if you aren't) you should see exploded rocks if the location is being heavily mined, because (we are told) they are persistent .... maybe this lasts a day or two, I don't know. If you aren't seeing that, then I doubt the hotspot has been "mined out."

Hot spots only increase the RNG of that type of material showing up.. It does not remove the chance of Other material being there that you don't want..
Every hot spot can still generate items you are not looking for at a high rate...

If the hot spot increases VO as an 1% increase in spawning or increases it by 2% or increases it by 20% has not been announced...
But what has been confirmed is that unlike laser mining Core rocks spawn at a fixed rate per ring but what is inside these is not fixed this was confirmed by rings that had an extermely low normal rock spawn which meant the rings were just dust and every large rock was a deep core because the ring was not generating any other large rocks types only dust... Same happene when hot spots were found to generate rocks out side of the rings actual location so the hot spot spawned in the middle of empty space so again only core rocks even spawned...
(these issues were Fixed later by Fdev)

Thats a negative, its all random, it doesnt matter where you are in the hotspot. I recommend just starting out from about 20 Mega metres from the core and working your way in towards it.

Check out this guide @ 7:00 if you need some info on finding the core asteroids.

i will explain everything; this is what happens when you fire the PWS, if you get three oranges you find a core

then when you find a core asteroid;

the computer decides again weather is contains Void opals or bromelite, ..... if its not three oranges its bromelite usually ^^

it doesnt matter where you are in the hotspot
I'm not saying that this is not the case, but logically, this would mean there is a hard border between an area where there no void opal roids, and where there are. I find that last one hard to believe. Only one way to find out...

Thats not what I'm seing at all. Secondary catch is usually low temp diamonds, with void opals as primary. Sometimes the other way around. Some alexandrite and grandidierite, rarly bromilite. At least, where I mine.

You're not an Opal miner.
You're just looking for easy credits, like many of us ;)
