Yes, but I very much doubt all these moaning about VO and Painite prices would consider basic laser mining for such commodities as Indite and Gallite as worthwhile.
Not that I mine for them, but I take them as by-catch, good market with plenty of demand 1 FC jump away.

Been doing them on and of since I got my FC, Bromellite, Methanol Monohydrate crystals and a couple of others have topped up my earnings on a regular basis, sometimes earning more than my regular mining

you can buy any stock you need for those mining missions (for thsoe that are for as-.well-buyable commodities)

Painite 250,000~
Plat- 300,000
Osmium 200,000~
If you go to Hyades Sector DB-X D1-112, you can mine for all 3 of these resources, filling up your hold much, much quicker. I got about 100 million an hour by mining and selling there. (20%+ Painite, Plat, or Osmium.)

Of course mining is not dead. It's just balanced now, which is great.

I just wish FDEV fixed the PWA already

Out of curiosity did combat get much of a buff? I had heard it was going to and I think it's a bit- not a lot but I didn't see any hard numbers?

4x buff to best bounties, 10x buff to lowest bounties.

I just ran a test mining only these minerals near MET 20 and I'm still only netting about 40 mil this hour. I even added two extra collector limpets and I got 124 painite, 35 platinum and 1 osmium. I'm in a double overlapping painite hot spot too.

How are you getting those numbers??

On the site, I ran a wing of 2 mining clippers and we were mining for mostly plat and osmium, on a map. (

) Since painite prices fluctuate so much, they are not worth mining, and I replaced my extra painite with platinum. If you run sourcing missions, your gains can be even better, like up to 100-150m an hour by doing wing mining missions. Basically, Git Gud at mining with friends. /s

They told me it couldn't be done, that it was too hard; took too much skill.
Even so, I've been mining at the nav beacon for most of the day.

I had just been playing around in a notspot on a metallic ring with one of my T9 miners and was having to play the "empty a bin" game as I was collecting 11 commodities and there are only 10 bins in a 4A refinery, was hitting a lot of rocks with 40 - 45% of either of these and a better metal and it seemed a shame to waste 8 - 9 ton or 100K per rock.
