mining missions + no services in harma gabriel city

Hi all.

So I took a break for some months because I encountered a problem in Harma, basically no services. Yeah that's rite no bulliton board so I could not get any mine missions and Harma (Gabriel city) was the perfect place for them. There was also no market and no ships in the ship yard. I logged on to see if this had been fixed as it seems like a bug but no it had not.

I've been round to other stations and they are all fine apart from no mining missions at all. I used to even go to yan musu as that had some but not nearly as many as Harma and noticed no mine missions at all in yan musu.

I know I could go about and do other stuff but I'm a miner and always have been because I enjoyed it.

Has anyone encountered this no service problem I've had, my mate who I used to wing up has the exact same thing going on in Harma to.

I have searched high and low for a new place that has a decent amount of mine missions available but I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you kindly.

It's part of the UA technical difficulties affecting certain systems, Harma being one, a number of stations are not operational as they have suffered from having Unknown Artefacts delivered to them. It is an ongoing storyline and not a problem with the game.

I have to be honest I have not been ingame very much recently, but I always used to find high tech systems the best for mining missions, those are the system type that needs mined resources the most.

mine missions appear in systems that are likely to want them - why would a system with pristine rings give you a mission?

I often mine - but what I do is g mine in one system and go to another would good prices. What I do then is missions for the night I fly around doing other missions and regularly find mining missions when I am on my way around

easy so long as you are willing to avoid the "spoon fed" approach (and you rank up and get money for your missions and rep as well)

Well thank you for the info guys. But yeah Harma was ace because it had that pristine ring and Gabriel city gave mine mission out to. I was not complaining and it was very fast to get rid of goods through mine missions. I used to mine osmium, platinum and painite the o.p.p. I called it and there were always those three types of missions at Gabriel city.

I've been far out going from stations to station, system to system and I've been unlucky. I've tried high tech's, I'm just not finding a new place to call home. Hopefully I'll fall on one soon enough.

I'm now at yan musu near cubeo which is a good way away from Harma so you would see how far I've travelled from Harma to yan musu in search of missions. Mine missions used to be decent there, now nothing lol.

I hope they give the whole bulletin board a shake up and soon because these limited to not finding the mission that are suited for me and my play style is becoming boring to find.

Is there anything on galaxy map you can press to find certain types of missions, as if I was sourcing them out to fly to a station that has specific missions?

Mining missions seem to become rare as soon as you have mined goods in your hold. It's probably to stop what many players did, which was mine some stuff and then open/solo/repeat until everything was sold.
If you spend too long looking (or logging, whatever) for missions, you would have been better off just selling your goods and going out mining again. Just treat the missions as a bonus, but the reliable money is just for selling your metal.

Try Thome Gateway in HIP 16607, which has a pristine metallic ring nearby, ring 1A. Although I didn't see the mining missions until after I had sold all my Platinum, Painite & Osmium although I don't think that was deliberate. If you have a decent Empire rank, try Cemiess for mining missions, they're a massive refinery system. In Empire space Grovichun is a great place to sell, eg Platinum sells for circa 21000 CR

Unless someone can show otherwise - Harma was shutdown by a player group The White Templars.

They sold I-don't-know-how-many Unidentified Artifacts at the Black Market there.

At the time UAs were known to cause the technical difficulties that shut stations down.
So it was a deliberate act of Xenoterroism. (Like bioterrorism but with alien stuff).

To my knowledge the CMDRs responsible have never faced justice, and are proud of their work. (Empire pfft)
They are pretty well known, but I haven't seen them around this forum for a while.
Would be good to have a CG to import enough Meta-Alloys to fix Harma, but I'm not a Pirate, so /shrugs.
