Mining missions since 3.0

Hi everyone,

I’ve finally reached admiral and have kitted out my vette for armed mining.
Plan now is to take my time to reach the cutter by doing mining missions in an empire system, until I get bored anyway and fancy something else anyway (I swear I’ll never do a boom delivery mission ever again)!
Trouble is I can’t find any mining missions anywhere!
I’ve searched high tech, industrial, refinery and extraction systems in boom but haven’t seen a single mission, except wing missions that require materials in bulk, and I’m talking 1200 tonnes plus!
Does anyone know of any systems that are currently handing out normal mining missions?

Not seeing any at one of my prefered mining systems. Then again, it looks like more than just salvage commodities have gotten a bump.

Platinum is going for 40k/T here. Palladium for 14.5

This is a problem I've always had with the mission system, finding the ones you want to do. I swear half the time I fit a ship up to do a certain activity I find tons of missions for other activities. :D
Lost count the number of times I've gone to war systems and none of the factions are offering any combat missions meaning I have to fly about loads of systems looking for them, in a combat ship with their terrible jump range..
I'd expect a extraction system in boom to be full of mining missions but often thats not the case. One of these days I'm going to have to sit down and do a survey to try and work out exactly what the state/economy/faction type triggers are for each mission type

Like you say they could make more sense. Faction v faction combat missions in war systems, anti piracy missions in low security boom systems, mining missions in refining/ extraction boom systems, supply missions in industrial/ high tec boom systems, aid missions in recovering systems maybe?

The new wing missions are taking up valuable mission board real estate, so every other mission type is harder to find now.

I went searching for some surface salvage missions at some of my favorite spots the other night and could barely find any, but there were plenty of wing missions to find. Only passenger missions are unaffected, solely due to them having their own separate board away from wing missions.

Cubeo still gives me mining missions, but only the imp factions are offering them and less frequently than normal. You may have to board switch.

I think boom state effect the spawn rate of these missions as well.

You also get the nice AD luxury item boost. Painite was 120k and platinum 55k last time I checked.
