First and foremost, I would like to take a moment to thank Frontier for the jaw-dropping job that they've done throughout these past six months in bringing the game to a state that we're happy with! I'm sure the game has an absolutely fantastic future awaiting for us with brand new features, rides and ofc, tons of DLC.
Now, on to the matters. I was checking on the past two Planet games, and noticed some small features that would definitely make PlanCo2 an absolute win of a game, and here's my list:
Now, I know there may be some small tweaks that would benefit the game, but, Frontier, please, if you see this, take these ideas into account in order to put PlanCo2 in parity with the old Planet games.
Anyway, let me know what you think and if there's any other suggestion that you'd like me to add to the post!
Now, on to the matters. I was checking on the past two Planet games, and noticed some small features that would definitely make PlanCo2 an absolute win of a game, and here's my list:
- Hotels: I'm sure that Frontier will bring these with game-changer mechanics, not just the black ones from the first game.
- Facility interiors: Why, Frontier, why did you waste the opportunity to add detailed interiors to our facilities like you did in PanZo?
- 3D long grass: For some reason, Frontier added short and long grass brushes, but none has actual long grass like in PlanZo. Odd tbh.
- Terrain stamp tool: We have them in PlanZo. These are basically shapes to sculpt the terrain more accurately. These can be used using advanced move making it even more precise in a way.
- Tags: Both PlanCo and PlanZo have tags for our scenery items, why not in PlanCo2?
- Cinematic camera: PlanZo has it as "Cinematic route editor". It's super useful to showcase our builds in a cinematic way. It's especially useful for YouTube videos and content creation in general.
- Scenic mode: Also from PlanZo. This camera option lets the player display a specific build or thing in orbit, spin or spiral modes.
- Snow: The snow in PlanZo looks stunning, and I'm sure that it would/will look jaw-dropping in PlanCo2 if given enough time to the devs to work on it properly.
- Water body customization: We all love the way PlanZo's water bodies can be customizable. We got pool water customization, so I'm sure we could get water body customization in PlanCo2 as well. And I'm not just speaking about color, we would like to have the bubbles and steam options too!
- Peep speech: In PlanZo all the peeps are very conversative which makes them feel alive. I'm sure most of use would love some dialogue lines for our PlanCo2 peeps.
- View points: In PlanCo we had view points that we could place near park highlights. A reimagination/return of those would be very welcomed to our PlanCo2 parks.
- ATMs: Both past games have these. It's a great way for the guests to get more money once they run out of it in the park so that they don't leave.
- Screen pole and board legs: Though not a full-on feature, these scenery items could be great for our screens in PlanCo2.
- Park overview: In PlanZo we have the "Zoo Overview" where we have some insights in how our Zoo is doing. It'd be a great idea to have this in PlanCo2, especially speaking about the most popular X or Y in the park. Like in PlanZo where we have the most appealing exhibit and habitat species, in PlanCo2 we could have the most appealing flat ride, coaster, flume and tracked ride! This would be awesome as it adds depth to park management. Also, opening and closing hours would be excellent if we ever get hotels, so we could see our guests leaving and those who are staying at the park overnight would go outside for specific shops or restaurants, hotel pools, etc. This would create an inner ecosystem that would echo real life theme parks.
- Better fencing: It'd be great to have the option to create our custom fencing tools using a similar system to that in PlanZo where you just drag and build habitat barriers.
- Automatic multiselect: In PlanZo, when you hold shift and click two scenery pieces, the multiselect tool opens automatically, making it more convenient than a key bind honestly.
- Missing rides: We got only five returning rides (one per free update), but it'd be fantastic to get the remaining missing rides from PlanCo in one big free update. Also, in my personal opinion, it would also be super cool to get the PlanZo transport rides as tracked rides.
- Custom height: We had this with the two Huss Condor rides in PlanCo, but we really want this to be a feature for tower flat rides too in PlanCo2. I don't know why they didn't give this to us already as it seemed to be one of the most requested features before release.
- Old DLC themes: Unpopular opinion, I want the old themes (like Adventure, Spooky, etc) to return as fully fletched DLC, not just the old sets back to PlanCo2. This is because I know how capable Frontier is of doing an amazing scenery pack (just see the PlanZo scenery packs for confirmation). So, yeah, returning improved themes. The only one I see returning as a base game one is the Festive, as it was a base theme if I remember correctly.
- Custom biomes: PlanCo had the option of customizing the biomes of a sandbox map. This would be specially cool after getting snow, so that we could have the same maps but with a snowy environment, which leads me to the next point...
- Biome textures: PlanCo and PlanZo had textures like snow and desert that would make our maps look better in my opinion.
- More zoom out: In the previous games, you could zoom out to see the entirety of your save within the building boundaries, but rn, you can't do that anymore in PlanCo2. It'd be cool to be able to zoom out a lot again.
- Park expansions: Our current maps are very small and contingent. I would like to be able to expand the building zone like we did in PlanCo.
- Entertainers: Now that we have the returning themes from PlanCo, why not getting an improved version of the old entertainers? Let us have the princess with a prince variant, the pirate with a female version, the robot (no gender needed lol) and the cowgirl with a cowboy version as to fit the current variation within the same characters that we have in our staff members and mascots.
Now, I know there may be some small tweaks that would benefit the game, but, Frontier, please, if you see this, take these ideas into account in order to put PlanCo2 in parity with the old Planet games.
Anyway, let me know what you think and if there's any other suggestion that you'd like me to add to the post!
