Missing planet - Arrhenius Beacon

So i arrived at 12 Gamma-1 Delphini as the mission told me to go to.

there were only 2 stars and 2 stations, plus the norm nav points and so on, the one thing that is missing, is "Arrhenius Beacon".

Now i have checked up on this and there is no planet there or anything by that name, i even checked 12 "Gamma-2 Delphini" Just to make sure.

I've been zooming around for a good hour now and it just doesn't exists.

So, either the death star has made a pit stop there and thought, mah, what the hell, might as well blow some up while we're passing , or something is wrong and i can't find it at all and shows in no lists in the navs.

can anybody share any insight into this or how i find it.

According to eddb.io, it's a planetary base 228609 Ls out.

Did you scan the nav beacon (or honk a discovery scanner)? The system is probably unexplored for you, so doing either of those things or buying navigation data via the galmap should reveal any planets and bases.

there's no nav data to buy so i guess i already did, used the discovery scanner rather a few times.

i could take another zoom around to find any nav beacons I've missed, but if it's there, it realy should have shown up by now.

are you using an advanced discovery scanner?
the other discovery scanners will only show bodies within 500 or 1000 ls.

if you don't have the advanced scanner you will need to scan the nav beacon next to the arrival star.
you need to drop out of supercruise and target the nav beacon whilst in normal space to get the info.
not sure if compromised navigation beacons still give you the data or not.

As above, & yup compromised nav beacons also give out the data - but the nav beacon is populated by a lot of pirates, & no police...

Not every system has data to buy. Best bet is to actually drop into the nav beacon and scan it

i don't think i do have an advanced scanner, that might well be my problem, although the one i do have detects unexplored from 30 or 40 mins away, i'll check it out and get back if i still have teh issue.
