I don't think they're listening - they keep spouting the same pre-FSS stuff whenever someone tries to tell them. Maybe we should tell 'em the galaxy is very sparse where they are ;)

Are you confusing the "bodies found" message with my explanation that the "honk" only discovers Stellar Bodies (i.e. not planets or moons) - because I assure you that I have one account that just returned from 23KLy out (to get a suit) and that is still exactly the behaviour I am seeing now and have done since FSS was introduced.

I don't know what you have been doing " ... in the deep black for over 4 year mapping system after system ... I've mapped 1000's of systems ..." if you don't realise that this is how exploration has worked since the FSS was introduced with Elite Dangerous 3.3 (Beyond).


Just now... does this help? (edit - a couple of post further down I have inserted a yootoob I made nearly two years ago showing a virgin system)

I still think the OP is confused. Here is a video I made back in 2019 demonstrating the FSS exploration tool. It is exactly the same now.
