Newcomer / Intro Missing system icon on galaxy map

I didn't play the beta so I'm not sure if this was supposed to happen but I no longer have system map icons on the galaxy map. I have checked several systems including my home system and the icon is not there. Anybody else seeing this?

please disregard. After a game file validation the icons returned.

What did you do? I'm missing that icon as well, but it might just be for systems I've not visited yet...

... plus I have not seen a "buy exploration data" icon in a long time - can you still do that? As the only ones I see are red and "no exploration data to buy".

I thought they were removed at some point, but I did see and use one a few days ago.

Yes, it's highly chaotic. I think it might actually work as intended and instead of some arbitrary 20LY radius, the station will only sell data of systems it ACTUALLY has data for (i.e. somebody sold data for that system on that particular station)
That's just my theory. It may as well be that they removed it and didn't quite succeed at doing so perfectly.

I validated the game files. I don't know for sure if that fixed it but they are back now. Hope this helps.

It might be a temp fix to the viewing of permit locked systems that you haven't visited before bug from fleet carriers

You can do it in the launcher as well. It's under the Options.
