Mission trading beacon : type 9 NPC offering an 'opportunity', very strange situation ensued.

This is the first time I've come across one of these, was recording as I was on my way to visit and film the Thargoids but got sidetracked into this. I know what they are now, but still can't work it out as I wasn't on a mission and the NPC "Ariel" would not communicate at all neither did I get any more messages. So as this caused me a lot of wasted time I destroyed it. Or did I?

I can imagine, thing is I tend to react to the unexpected just in case it's something worth your time. This isn't.

You don't actually play this game. Mission USS's pop up with a super obvious MISSION USS FOUND ping.

You actually did get a message (2 even, you started the video at 6 messages, ended with 8) and I'm assuming that's where the mission offer went, since that's where they go.
