Give me a theme and what text you would like included and ill put something together for you.

SIGNATURE RULES AND LIMITATIONS

• Maximum image file size limit limited to 250KB.
• Maximum allowed images per user signature is one.
• Animated images (eg: gif image) are not allowed.
• Maximum width of an image is 650 pixels.
• Maximum height of an image is 150 pixels.
• Maximum allowed lines of normal sized text per signature is five.
• If text lines are added to a sig they cannot be made larger than the default size.
• Lines are not allowed to wrap else they count as additional lines
• If an image is added to a signature, and the image is up to 650x150, maximum lines permitted is zero
• If an image is added to a signature, and the image is up to 650x120, maximum lines permitted is one
• If an image is added to a signature, and the image is up to 650x90, maximum lines permitted is two
• If NO image is added to a signature, maximum lines of text permitted is five.
• Quote, code, and/or special bbcode that consumes lines of text, count as two lines each.
• Links do not count as special bbcodes but must adhere to the links rules
• Empty lines of text count as a line / additional line to a signature.

if you are hosting the sig your self then the sig needs to be saved as a PNG or gif.

to install the banner

click userCP in the top left
then click edit signature
then copy and paste the link into the text box, remember to add the link to the image inbetween [IMG]Link[/IMG]

then click save signature

if you upload the signature then you have to do something special to make it transparent.

im still learning Photoshop and would love to get some unusual requests. Elite themed to begin with and ill try and come up with something that you suggest?

Mobius is doing the community great service and this thread is clearly extremely popular and helpful.

I shall remain vaguely anonymous on my actual pledge amount. And anyway, those of us who pledged enough will know who's who when we get access to the relevant forums.... (up to a point)....

Just my opinion but I would have to say no.

Personally, I pledged so that the game would exist. Now that the funding has been raised, that should be the end of it.

Those that are DDF etc are just that and should get on with whatever they have to do in silence. No doubt anyone who is involved in design decision will need to agree to a non-disclosure agreement, the last thing they should be seeking is the limelight as they will be bombarded with questions, which is when the leaks, rumors and troubles begin.

... and just to pour on the negativity I am not keen on the mocked up banners, that is the Elite insignia it should not be over used!!

Within the forum it may be useful to get sort of a title or signature to highlight the DDFs, not as a way of bragging or whatever, because I would guess that anyone pledging at that level or higher did so for the love of the game, but so people knew who to address if they have interesting ideas that they would like to be put forward in the DDF forum section?

Do not worry about being heard Simply bring up your ideas as normal and FD will see them. Popular ideas will gain traction without the aid of the DDF. And on that note there is nothing really special about that group - they will be asked for an opinion, perhaps to vote on things, but that's about it - final say is FD's have no illusion otherwise.

I don't mind saying I helped, as per the sig; but have no need to gloat so to speak. The idea is that we are hopefully building a responsible and friendly user base to enable all of us in having the best Elite yet.

Besides, if the forum gods wanted to, they could make certain that the DDF members are highlighted.

was just throwing out random ideas, as it's kinda hard tu judge what our role will be and how much input we get, as you say probably not too much, but heyho

as for my cargo, we shall see about that when I turn up in my own upgraded cobra mkIII you wouldn't steel from a fellow pirate, would you? haha

Ahh right, notwithstanding what I said earlier about debadging, I'd leave it as it is, founder only - as there is a backstory for supporting that in game.

Be interested to see what the backer decals are like though.

now kickstart is over and you have made your Pledge to Elite dangerous, should you have the option to Display your pledge level.
im mean those that pledged £150 want to be known as Elite Founders.
but what if you pledged to join the DDF would you want a unique identifier showing that along with being a founder that you are on the DDF.

no point going higher than the DDF as those tiers allow u to name a station/planet/star.

the same goes for pledging £75 to join the Private backers forum.

the gold founder decal will be all the recognition anyone who's pledged to that level or higher (lower on ks ) will need! anything else would be shameless bragging, and unworthy of the game!

I pledged what I could afford with the burning desire to see this game made. A cold, logical part of my brain tells me I went too far, that I was drawn in by the addictive properties of the evil jonty. Then, the romantic fool part of me says I'm a scrooge and should have emptied my bank accounts and given it everything I had!
As you can see, I'm comfortable with my decision. I don't see the need to brag about how much I, or anyone else, paid to get this project into the air. Even a £5 backer was very welcome and appreciated.
Saying that, I might be very tempted to start the game on the Founders world. Not in the spirit of the game, I hear some say? Well, I played Elite and Frontier to death as a kid and as a young man. I feel that my current middle aged self is the offspring to my earlier self which justifies my PRIVILGED start position.
I very well might change my mind about this but, at the moment, this is how I honestly feel.
