i posted this poll mainly, because i think it's a good thing keeping people busy on the board and mankind is of curious nature ;)
of course i'm interested in your voting, i'm interested in modeling spaceships.

i vote for the courier, there never was a spaceship looking so sharp to me than this.
it must have been a report about computergames in late 80's and they showed a little rotating vector graphic of a spaceship and it wasn't the cobra like on the promos for elite i swear, also this guy was talking about how a surface (materials) can be applied on such models. since then this picture was allways in my mind until i touched frontier.

why not, only thrusters and pos. lights might give you some trouble, but for fun it's ok. please hand me one if you got one ready.
i would like to pilot a battlestar (like shown above) in ffed3d, but i have to find the right basic shape, maybe a thargoid. i can imagine a small flattened battlestar from a tiger the 2 turret's would suit perfect.

bird of prey, should be a option too :eek:

star wars, i always wondered how to fly, especially land or dock such a machine, except on a outrigger ;)
not my favorite star wars ship, tie fighters are cool (and the horrible noise they produce) IMHO.

i forgot no sound in space, **** some compromises must be done.

YT-1300 is that the type for millenium falcon?

i think i will do a quick conversion of a tie-fighter, should be ready until evening.
i can upload it then at ssc, just for fun, what do you think? ;)

and what do you think, which ship can replaced through a tie-fighter.
i got three of them, ready to be souped up in the docks (after all not my work, but who cares).

one of the small fighters of course, but it must fit more or less to a tie.

I voted for Enterprise, in paticulr E from 'First Contact,' I just wish they had included a lengthy space batter with the Borg at the beginning to show it off instead of the 'cameo' we got.

i vote for enterprise nx01, maybe not as tech as the later models and maybe enterprise the series wasnt the strongest of the star trek series but the fact it was so basic appealed to me, no shields n slow but very streamlined n sexy looking (for a ship anyway)
the imp courier is defenatly my favorate frontier ship

will be uploadet just for fun on ssc i will also add a .wav of tie's sound, source: x-wing alliance
i choosed bob's model because it's a little more detailed then the one from x-wing (only 30 polys).

Excuse me for getting a bit nerdy, but I think your picture there is an Imperial Trader, not a Courier :rolleyes:

ahh, c'mon steve it's basically the same model, it's only sized bigger and a third engine is attached.
i choosed this pic (i knew someone would say somthing like: "but that's not a courier") because i'ts one of the nicer looking screendumps i made and i didn't wan't to make a new one.
