Besides, who's definition of a "constructive negative" are we going by? The moderators have rules they're required to follow for doing their jobs, they don't do things arbitrarily.

Apparently I was guilty of "image spamming", whatever that is, so my post got deleted.
I suppose a text response is required:
What is the criticism here, exactly? That constructive criticism is not allowed?
Show me some criticism that doesn't amount to "this game sucks because I don't know what I'm doing", or "incomplete game feels incomplete.", or "OtherGame has a feature that this doesn't - make this game a clone of OtherGame ASAP". None of which could be thought of as constructive.
I see quite a few shrill rants get dressed up as "constructive criticism". Most of the responses are negative, because the criticisms made are generally ridiculous. The (generic) thread poster usually reacts badly, and the threads then proceed to devolve into insult tennis. Finally comes the mod lockdown. You can't blame the mods for that.

I understand your point of view and some of the moderators do like to close threads a little early and defend FD to the hilt while some of the moderators since joining the group have done sod all.
I wont name the moderators who are just along for the ride as its pretty obvious that some of the new recruits have done sweet sod all since joining the moderator ranks.
im sure some of the old school moderators understand what im saying, but because crap flows down hill you wont see them agreeing with the statement.

what you need to understand is that the moderators represent free of charge Frontier developments and as such need to ensure that the forums remain a positive environment.
I wont name the moderators who are just along for the ride as its pretty obvious that some of the new recruits have done sweet sod all since joining the moderator ranks.

Then again, as I always say..... Rude children should be shot. You would have far fewer rude adults.
I dissagre i have found the mods to be both fair and polite.
they work hard to keep it a good community (I have been a mod myself so i know exactly how hard it can be)
I have seen many threads stay up, sometimes to my surprise (I would have closed some of them), so to say they are unfair or biased is simply not true.
Try posting a complaint or concern in a constructive (if pationate) way and your posts will stay.
come in all frontin and abusive and you will soon be leaving.
this seems fair to me who want's to engage an angry or insulting poster and if you do it often devolves into a flame session and that helps no one.
my advise post as if your actually sitting in a room with the people you want to address and would actually be responsible for their reaction and if you offend unintentionally say it was not your intention so the dialogue can progress.
it's a little trick i have been using since about the age of 5 or 6 and we call it respect for others as well as ourselves.
