Mods for ps4

Was the mod he used not a PC "utility" rather than a mod. I'm sure its a separate programme he uses which is not a MOD connected to the game but his PC. I was jealous when I found this out as there is no way you could have this on a PS4
I'm guessing your referring to things like reshade, in which case, it's very unlikely.
The gfx mods are separate standalone programs that run alongside the game. Usually they alter a directX dll in the game library in order to inject/overlay effects onto the game. They are a 3rd party thing and not directly tied to Frontier or officially supported by them.
Unless frontier decided to incorporate the mod into the game code itself, I don't think it would be possible on console. Sadly this is much the same reason that you will *probably* never see voiceattack and HCS voice packs on console.

Ha ha, ha. That's funny! One choose on pc to mod particular files the pc version has access to. The cause and effect of such action effects only those that perfom duch action. One cannot alter the files on a console. Should PS4 or FDev insert a popular working "Mod", it's a feature and like the rest of the game, must be supported by one and or the other afore mentioned. PS4 has allowed supposed "Mods", but only after proper support can be offered. It's done via updates or patches, thus becoming a feature nit s mod. The process is not cheap, so it doesn't happen often.
