Mods

I recently found out about mods for this game, and some of them are very beautiful.
However, I also recently read and heard (Reddit and YT respectively) about Frontier's statement regarding the use of mods.
I still have a question however: are we allowed to use mods and are they just not supported (as in, it is your own risk for your own game and that's it)? Or are there actually penalties for the use of mods?
I would be grateful to receive a reaction by someone from Frontier, since this has been on my mind for a short while now and have not found a definitive answer yet.
With kind regards.

I suppose it's okay but depending on how fast your computer runs I don't see how the mods can affect your computer that much, the consequences can sometimes lead to different effects on your game or your copy like constant crashes or possibly the game won't play at all because of damage. I learned this from experience playing Jurassic Park operation Genesis with mods and my game crashed hard to the point where it wouldn't play at all I had to ask a tech expert to fix it.

Again thanks!
I know of the technical consequences, but I meant legal consequences and such.
Is there such a risk?

For a number of technical and other reasons, modding isn't something that is officially supported within Jurassic World Evolution. Unofficial modding or software that alters the game's code will always present a risk to players. For this reason, it is our recommendation that you do not use unsupported modding or clients of this nature.

maybe so far that Frontier won't work with Gamers who use mods, but that's only limited to the YouTubers that I know of, personally why use mods if your game as beautiful as is.

Thank you very much!
I will take your advice (the recommendation) into consideration.
Kind regards.

Thanks for helping me out so much!
The senior community manager (Jens Erik) just responded with a clear answer.
The few skins I saw really were impressive but I will take everything said here into consideration before any further actions.
