More Elephants!

But this week it seems like it's gonna be hard to finish it. Only 24 hours left and still 22% left of the goal :(

But I'm doing my best! 233 released so far!

It's still doable, but it will require quite a bit of breeding. Unfortunately, going by the numbers it doesn't look like too many players are participating with any significant success at all. I guess reacting to the complaint that the old challenges were too specific by making this challenge even more specific and adding another qualifier on top didn't help, especially considering that these elephants aren't exactly quick or cheap to breed without a dedicated breeding zoo. It's quite likely that many players who would have otherwise contributed at least casually didn't bother at all under these circumstances.
Anyway, I'll see if my small breeding program can squeeze out a couple more little trunksters who get us a little closer to victory.

I am no longer trying to take part in the challenges.
Even if I have a better computer, I will rarely do it.

I don't want a breeding factory.

The challenges are always about breeding.

I think it would be nice if it were also about happy guests, happy employees or sold burgers and the like.

In addition, you have to check again and again whether you really hold your place.

With 500-1000 guests you can not really breed expensive animals and open breeding zoos all the time, I have no interest in that. I then lack the time for my original zoo.

I personally like the challenges, but I can understand that they are not for everyone. I think the main reason it's about releasing and breeding is the nature of the challenges; they are about filling a bar, and then it's just easer to make a challenge about "release x amount" or "breed x amount".

The examples you give are difficult to turn into a comunity challenge. For once, they are more "personal" challenges, the kind you already get in the game all the time, and those kinds of challenges are really hard to make into a challenge for the comunity as a whole. And some of them are not really a challenge. The Employee happiness for example. If you just train your staff to 5 stars, they are always at 100% happiness, so no challenge there. And the "sell x amount of burgers" have nothing to do with the animals, so that wouldn't really fit a zoo game challenge I think :)

Close call with the amount of hours left :D

But challenges should be challenging :p
Elephants do take a lot of time, and 3 stars is an extra objective which adds more time...

Yey! so happy :D Good job everyone <3

I threw in all my efforts over the weekend to raise three star elephants so we would reach our goal and made it to the gold level to get - what? Two ostriches (of course both female) and one Aldabra giant tortoise! :p

ETA: Maybe the displayed gender is by default feminine, because when I checked in the rewards storage, it’s one female and one male. Here’t many happy golden ostrich babies!
