More Merchandise - Custom Model Ships, Real Bobble Heads.

It would be cool if we could have model ships. I thought it would be cool to collect an Asp Explorer on my desk or play with in game models with my 3 year old nephew. Does anybody else have any merchandise ideas?

We've been asking for models since before release.

The best we got (other than the backers that eventually got their models) was euclyd (or however it was spelled) who 3d printed models using colored sand. Very good quality and detail. They shuttered a while ago though. Too expensive to run.

Other option is to follow some people's lego plans for various ships or 3d print your own models.

Model ships would be excellent. 3D-printed stuff is just too low-resolution right now to be of any worth to me. Give me a proper model kit any day.

More merchandise would've been a much better investment on FDev's part over, say, a superfluous new building.

My missus was actually at the Frontier store, about to buy me a "pilot" bobblehead as a birthday present when I happened to notice and pointed out that it was a virtual bobblehead for my ship's dashboard.

Surprised they don't sell an "official" Hutton mug.

I have an official Hutton mug on my desk... So I'd have to say you are not surprised.

Still spreading the truth of UTOPIA!!! across the galaxy...

EDIT: I also spent over a hundred bucks on a star citizen model. Now that thing is highly detailed and awesome. I'd spend 250 on a Anaconda of the same quality (retractable landing gear and hardpoints). Bonus if the hardpoints are modular and sold separately so we can customize our ships exactly.
