Powerplay More Powerplay questions

- There's a player on our leaderboard that is at Rank 280 (!). I'm not going to speculate how that was achieved, but are there continued rewards for ranks >100?
edit2: Disregard this. I found the answer in game.

- Is there any way to know, in game or otherwise, how many players are aligned to each power?

- Once a particular Powerplay module is unlocked, where can it be purchased? only in own power systems? Jameson Memorial?

edit:
- Is there a formula for calculating the available number of those PP deliverables (to undermining, reinforcing or acquisition systems) based on rank?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

We had some one hitting 200+ on first week!

Inara has some stats, but based on Inara CMDRs only.

I bet all strongholds have them + Jameson Memorial.

Some one posted the information in the PP 2.0 guide (can't find link unfortunately).

Very roughly, starts out at 15, and you get 5 more every other rank up to 100.

I think there are a few steps missed out of that as it apparently caps at 250 not 265.

Another couple of questions regarding finding enemy power npc's:

Where/how do I find the high probability areas in each of Undermining, Reinforcing, and Acquisition systems? See below for what I have tried.

Is my understanding correct?: I can attack/kill any enemy power npc in any of my power's systems without getting a bounty or notoriety; and I can attack/kill any enemy power npc in a system NOT owned by my power, but I will always get a bounty but no notoriety.

I haven't done much on-foot with regard to PP, aside from a few raids for PP materials and uploading malware. Are there any on-foot npc's that are aligned to a power? if so, how to find them? And do they give any merits when they die? I have seen small merit payouts such as 4-8 merits for scanning dead npc's, but I'm looking for something more worth the time/effort on-foot for merits, if it exists.

As of now, I have tried a number of things, below, that are only spawning enemy power npc's at a very low rate, such as maybe 3-5 per hour.
  • RES sites in my power's systems - this does provide lots of merits, but I'm specifically looking for power-aligned npc's, which are rare in RES sites.
  • RES sites in other power's systems
  • Cruising in supercruise in my power's systems
  • Cruising in supercruise in other power's systems
  • looking in various USS in my power systems and other power systems; this hasn't yielded any enemy power npc's for me yet.

Yes, there are on foot NPCs that are aligned to the power that controls the system
You find them by pulling up the contacts menu on your on-foot HUD and searching for their name. Focusing on their name will bring up their profile, which will show you with which faction they are aligned; the local minor faction, or the power controlling the system
You can also sometimes tell at a glance by the armour they wear. Powerplay NPCs all wear a uniquely painted set of armour according to the power they're aligned with.
All powerplay NPCs will be security staff
Killing a powerplay NPC yields greater merits than killing a local, EXCEPT if the local has a bounty that you discover BEFORE killing them, at which point you're only awarded the bounty claim.

Holy smokes! Thanks! Just what I was looking for. Is there any way to tell by the settlement description if the settlement might have npc’s aligned to a power?

Correct.

Note that if you're pledged to Power A, and undermining a Power B system, depending on who else is close NPCs from Power C might show up - you can still kill them for a small bounty and no notoriety, but you only get the tiny "murder" merits for doing so, not the higher "power kill" merits.

USS Power Convoy Distress Call can spawn any random type of encounter... from zero to try hard: one of the last I had was with 8 (yes EIGHT) enemy pledge Anacondas trying to kill a fleet of my pledge haulers.
A famous quote applies:

“They've got us surrounded again, the poor s” is a quote attributed to Colonel Creighton S. Abrams, a tank legend who led the charge through German lines during the Battle of the Bulge.“

You don't.

You can generally avoid the tasks generating with specific named systems if you start the week (i.e. end the previous week) well outside your territory.
I've tried that today.

Result = "No Powerplay assignments". I've not had that before...
