Wow, what a way to completely just ignore my point. Yes let's not acknowledge the side effect of nerfing legit colonization for a month and let's focus on the technicality of whether fdev set the amounts to minimum or just stopped the refilling of the ships to allow that initial drain.

in either case, they are EMPTY and going to stay empty for the duration of all this. and there are people who actually used them, who are now having to plan more time in building because we got to go around and get the mats piecemeal. I get WHY Fdev did it, it just sucks.

If that's the point you're trying to make, it's probably best not to post something entirely different, and unrelated.

Also, FWIW, I completely agree with you that it sucks that the megaships are shut down, thus hindering colonisation.
I don't think it's a huge problem, though, given that it's almost impossible to get an FC into one of the Megaship systems so ferrying stuff back and forth from a megaship isn't much different to buying stuff from stations or outposts.

I thought I saw some posts in the early hours of the CG that they were still open, and then magically a server blip and they were all shut down. If true, sounds like FD didn't even realize the "conflict" until after they launched the CG.

I also thought only those closest to the CG system were shut down, I didn't realize all of them got nuked 😕

32k+ and counting, i keep checking occasionally and it shows we might even complete it with seconds to spare, if we pull it off we should all get a cobra mk4🥳
2 weeks, 3 days and change remaining. I'm just hoping mine is enough to keep me in the top 75% when I go away for a week.
Scary quantities at the top of the CG. If they are doing CMM bought for reasonable credits, have also made north of 36 billion.

Erm, yes, whatev's.

You said, however, that people could buy stuff from the Trailblazer Megaships and sell it to the CG.

That is incorrect. (y)
I believe the statement was that it makes sense the Trailblazer ships are "offline" because people could load up from the megaships, then resell to Starlace. Not saying that it's possible.

However, the trailblazer ships being offline/out of stock is a major impediment for this commander. I don't agree with them, but that doesn't mean we get to ignore the substance of the actual argument being made.

I went to the megaship to get colony materials and found it to be bone dry. To which I was like "of course it would be" because it would self defeat the CG. But that doesn't change the fact the megaships are essentially offline for the duration of this CG, thus nerfing colonization during this time. And yeah sure sure, you can make fun "Oh, you have to go multiple places to gather mats now, how terrible" /s. But the point of these megaships in the first place was so we didn't have to do that.

Look I get that people like me are an after thought, people who, you know, actually want to build up their colony systems. And sure, I only have one system, but its mine, it's being developed in earnest and I'm trying to work within the colonization mechanic as it is, along with all the out of game resources to build it right. So yeah I'm complaining the megaship that was put in, precisely so I DON'T have to go running around isn't doing what it was designed to be doing.

As far as your commentary about the CG, credits don't mean anything, money as concept never has, it's what you can get with it that determines value. Right now Fdev has turned on the money faucet, precisely because these squadrons are getting upgraded into vanguards and squadron assets are going to be expensive, like hugely expensive. I think we all kind of guessed that. and the cargo racks are the cherry on top, since again they allow anyone who didn't get the PC to get a taste of that MkII cargo goodness. and those who do have a PC, to min-max the heck out of it.
To be honest I am surprised the Megaships are still where they are, I wasn’t expecting them to be withdrawn but I was expecting them to have moved.

Personally I have one system still very much in the early phase of construction, fortunately for me I was a little late picking my spot so apart from those emergency battery things I can get everything required for my builds from neighbouring colonies.
Which is just as well as it is about 3 jumps for my FC if I want to use it to get supplies from bubble or Megaships.

Yes it is <censored> inconvenient that they have been run out of stock but unless you are actually building a primary port it isn’t a disaster.
If you are building a primary port screen for assistance in the thread in the colonisation forum.

Maybe if the CG hits its maximum tier they'll have enough spare stock to send out more megaships.

Maybe there'll be another CG to haul everything delivered to Starlace back to all the megaships... 😵‍💫
Next CG: Conduct rescue and repair operations at Starlace Station after the addition of over a billion tonnes to its mass compromises its structure and destabilises its orbit.

I check it everyday too, it's the only CG that I have had any interest in to follow it daily.
