Most ICONIC species that are still not in the game

All of us have their own special and interesting species but let’s create a list of species that are the most iconic and very missed from the base game.

In my opinion they would be:

1. Southern White Rhino
2. Meerkat
3. Leopard (any subspecies)
4. Penguin (any species)
5. Sea lion (any species)
6. Dromedary
7. Gibbon (any species)
8. Otter (any species)
9. Beaver
10. Puma
11. Wolverine
12. Moose
13. Ibex
14. Lynx (any species)
12. Red deer
13. Sloth (any species)
14. Capybara
15. Coati
16. Emu
17. Muskox
18. Malayan tapir
19. Przewalski horse
20. Scimitar horned oryx
21. Badger (any species)
22. Porcupine
23. Fennec fox
24. Yak
25. Racoon

For me there’s tons of animals I want in game yet but one definitely stands out when iconic is involved.

Definitely the Southern White Rhino. I still can’t believe this guy was left out of the base game.

While there's certainly a lot of very popular animals, I think at this point it comes down to 4 (maybe 5) animals: meerkats, otters of some species, penguins of some species, an African Rhino (either black or white) and possibly the leopard - either Amur or African. (one of these isn't even in my 10 most wanted animals so I'm not saying it's MY top 5)

After that I'd say the Moose, Cougar (aka Mountain Lion aka Puma), the Capybara (I still can't believe they left them out of SA), and possibly the Grey Kangaroo (Even though there's Australian animals i want more than that, it's very common though not as iconic is the red variety. )

The only exhibit animal I'd include is either the King or Indian Cobra. There's others I'd like to see but that one is a must to include at some point.

Narrowed it down just to few obvious choices, much more are needed but these I think should take priority:

Only want a leopard so people can stop asking for it and we can move to more interesting and unique animals. No offense to anyone, it is just yet another cat that is very similar to jaguar so it is not a priority for me. But I get it is like the second most requested animal after penguins.

So I’m adding badger, porcupine and fennec fox. I always have problem with smaller animals. For me porcupines and fennecs are almost in every zoo but badgers are extremely unpopular for no particular reason. My local zoo had them in the past and they replaced them with penguins some time ago - so you can see the pattern. But I remember I was very excited to see Ratels in Prague zoo sometimes in the past.

I remember they were in almost every zoo 30 years ago - now such a rarity
I would also prefer whites over black rhinos so I will include them in the list just as you wished.

This list is not my personal favorites either but the most iconic. If I could create my own list it would contain tons of antelopes, wild donkeys and swines. But well...
